We are trying to get new titles but right now Phase 1 is focus on the reissue and what I call old but new. Meaning like Ladies vs. Butlers or Yosuga that were forgotten and never got released. Have any suggestions?

    Here is Greenwood
    Loveless
    Metal Fighter Miku
    Otoboku
    Kasimasi
    Shamanic Princess

I like Miku. One of the first anime we ever did.

If they're still in the cards, Blu-Ray rereleases of Blade of the Immortal and Berserk 1997 would be cool.

    Love to do Berserk 97

    Dai Mahou Touge maybe?

I loved that one. Was so funny. But was no Dokura-chan sales wise. Love when the veggies commit suicide for her. LOL

    Manyuu Hikenchou would be good

    Nice idea

    3. Master Of Mosquiton
    4. Tentacle and Witches

I look forward to seeing Maid Ane OVA & Vampire OVA in Dub soon.

Are you still in touch with the NYAV Post guys? If so, a re-release of GaoGaiGar complete with a finished dub would be great!

Still in touch. Not so much Gogaigar.

Berserk 97 is the sort of evergreen title Media Blasers need in order to come back in a healthy fashion.

I would rather see them get more live-action titles, especially after what Justin said here.

I look forward to their Zebraman BD and hope it turns out good since Toei never released it on Blu-ray in Japan. I also might look into Hakaider & Zeiram 2 as well.

Plus there wouldn't be much to worry about with getting all the DVD extras back so there's that too.

EDIT: A day later and they announce a Blu-ray for the Devilman live-action movie. Movie was awful but I'll double-dip for the sake of my Go Nagai colletion.

EDIT 2: Apparently they have Zebraman 2 as well, wonder how this will fare compared to FUNi's release.

EDIT 3: Now they announced the [email protected] movie and apparently there's a backstory behind it.

Figure 17, Simoun, Otogi Zoshi, and Kurogane Communication are a few that haven't been mentioned yet.

Berserk '97 would be an obvious choice.

I did ask about GaoGaiGar (specifically putting out Final) in that tweet thread, but sadly it wasn't answered.

I think that did really badly for them, so I'm very doubtful they would ever consider it. Especially when it looks like they're starting to recover a bit.

If an HD version of Figure 17 existed, I would snap that up right away. One of my all-time favorite series.

I'd also be down for an HD transfer of Simoun.

Not sure if either of these would have native HD transfers, since I think both are from that transitional digipaint period before HD was made standard? I don't know though, so feel free to clarify. A properly done upscale would also work.

It's from the old Mania/AnimeOnDVD forums, I believe, but John Sirabella did admit on our very forums that GaoGaiGar did make a profit in the end, but only because they dropped the dub (which itself was seemingly only done because they had a TV deal in the works that never happened). Still feel it was worth asking about, but I'm sure GGG is something that MB would only be willing to do if that dub could be finished. It was such a victim of a bunch of circumstances.

I don't focus on hentai news much. If you look at MB's release schedule of non-hentai stuff over the last 7 years, not much was coming out, some stuff got quietly cancelled, and others were constantly delayed (Ex: Yamibo). This is their first time being consistent in a long time.

I agree. The focus was hentai. Well hentai fueled the changes.

I'd like to see Zeiram on Bluray, if that's possible. The original 1991 live-action movie with Yuko Moriyama as Iria!

Also, the original Iczer One OVAs from the 1980's on Bluray with the movie-edit included.

Both have Blurays in Japan (but they are expensive to import and don't have subs).

https://twitter.com/mediablasters1/s...15713260711940 (if it's 1 of 4 listed, my guess is Grenadier)

Figure 17 was produced on film and could be remastered to HD. It hasn't been done in yet in Japan though.

Simoun would have to be upscaled or on SD-BD though since it's digipaint.

any consideration of 3D CGI anime series or movies ?

                            Depend on the movie

Speaking of releasing stuff you didn't get to in the past, any interest in giving Tales of Eternia the Animation another try? I remember seeing that it got licensed long ago, but it never came out.

Oh god... I forgot why that one fell through. Trying for Ys but that is a long shot. Long long shot.
                              https://twitter.com/mediablasters1/s...45752583270402
I always heard it was to avoid getting sued by Mattel because of the world Eternia from He-Man. The game was even renamed to "Tales of Destiny II" over here at the time, supposedly because of that.

Today, though, other works have used "Eternia", so I doubt it'd be a problem now.

Nah I do not think that was it. Was something else. Long time ago.
                              https://twitter.com/mediablasters1/s...59572005502977
Ys would definitely be a great re-release today, if you can get it. The series is way more known now here than it was back when those OVAs were first released, after all.

Agreed, paperwork and material nightmare. LOL
