Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Prologue: Sakura and the Two Bears

After the conflict with Eriol at the Tokyo Tower, Sakura attained the final Clow Cards: The Dark and The Light. Since then, everything's gone back to normal - but only briefly.

While Eriol has decided to move back to England, Syaoran suddenly confesses his true feeling for Sakura and tells her he is moving back to Hong Kong. What will Sakura do? Although she's unsure of her own feelings, her best friend Tomoyo tells Sakura that the true answer already lies within her. That is when Sakura decides to make something for her dear friend.

It will be interesting to see if this leads to somebody announcing that they have the license to the Clear Card arc seeing that NIS America had the original series but they have since unofficially pulled the plug on anime licenses. The show is still seven months away, so I'm not expecting it to be announced this soon.

Always interesting to see how the rights for anime bundled with manga works. Hopefully we can get a good Blu-ray of it somewhere down the line. Not sure how likely that is at this point, though.

If this leads to another DVD release with the new manga then I wonder what happened with Attack on Titan's Distress OAD.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed that the OVAs are incomplete now :/ I was enjoying those deluxe sets. I do hope Kodansha will release a deluxe set with this OVA...

My only question is when are we getting it on Blu-ray? Great to see them bringing it to theaters at least. Crunchyoll, Discotek, or NISA; honestly I don't care who releases it, but at least get it out here on Blu-ray! At any rate, since I'm lucky enough to have a theater close by for me to go see it, I'll have to see what I can do to get out there for it.

Just about the only incentive for me to go is to get that postcard. I have the old Geneon DVD, and it isn't playing anywhere near me anyway. But for those who haven't seen it and are living close to one of these theaters, it's something you absolutely have to watch before getting into the Clear Card arc as there are quite a lot of important things that happen.

With this development, the likelihood of a Crunchyroll/Funimation home video license (with a good chance of a new dub, hopefully in addition to the old one) has increased even more. I will be pretty disappointed if we don't have some news of a Blu-ray for this movie by the time the new series has entered that part of its release cycle.
