At the moment, it'll be available for download, streaming, and a BD will be included in the Deluxe Edition of FFXV.

Guess it's also worth mentioning, the download & streaming versions will be available before the game ships, though no actual date was provided (at least, not during the FFXV event); and FFXV (and by extension the CG film on BD) will be available 9/30/16.

Additionally, the net-anime, Brotherhood: FFXV, will be included on a separate BD in the more expensive Ultimate Collector's Edition of the game. And... this probably won't matter much, since the Ultimate Collector's Edition is apparently limited to 30,000 units worldwide.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this get a standalone BD release later on. I really need to watch that first episode of Brotherhood.

Given the hefty price tag of the ultimate collector's edition, they sure did go the extra mile there. But it's a good thing that I'm not interested in any of the extra stuff included in that edition seeing that I prefer all of my music to be digital and that I'm not interested in getting big figures that this one includes. I'll eventually get to playing this, but I don't have a PS4 or an XBox One at the moment.

Signed up for the waiting list. Hopefully the Deluxe Edition will still be available when the Ultimate Collector's Edition becomes available in case I get to it too late to get it. Ironically I don't know when I'll even have time to play the game, but I'm too much of a collector to pass up the possibility.

Re: Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV and Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV

I wonder if they will try to get the Kingsglaive film in threatres, since they mentioned it's intended to get more people interested in the game (basically the opposite of Advent Children, which was intended to cash in on people who were already obsessive fans). Plus why else did they cast Hollywood actors in the dub? I wonder if it's motion captured to the Japanese actors or the American actors (or both depending on the version). Wasn't Appleseed Alpha motion captured to the American actors? That was one of the big detractors on the Advent Children dub to me is the fact that it hit the same uncanny valley that dubbed live action films do, where the words so obviously don't match the lips or face movements.

My excitement for the movie was somewhat dampened learning that they're recasting all the major characters for the game. If they couldn't afford to keep all the high profile Hollywood actors, they should have just cast professional VA's for what I would assume much less.

Square Enix Might Produce More Of Final Fantasy XV’s Ultimate Collector’s Edition

Following the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event last week, Square Enix had pre-orders for the game’s Ultimate Collector’s Edition version, which didn’t take long to sell out. Director Hajime Tabata tweeted that they might produce more copies for the fans that didn’t get fortunate enough to grab one on time.

Here’s what was tweeted out earlier this morning:
                  Hello, Tabata here.

I’m truly grateful for those of you who checked out Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV.

Things were as exciting as can be at the event, but I heard that those of you in Japan also got excited along with the long TV commercial. Again, the Platinum Demo has received a large number of downloads, and we truly thank you for that!

And by the pre-orders for the Ultimate Collector’s Edition vanished in a flash, and we’ve received plenty of voices from those that weren’t able to acquire it. We are terribly sorry about that. At the moment, we’re continuing with internal coordination to see if we can somehow increase its production. We will make an announcement as soon as there’s any progress!”

Again, I’d like to let you know that we will follow protocol to handle what appears to be unusual orders that may seem like they were made for resale purposes. Once more, thank you for your continued support of Final Fantasy XV!

Update on availability of Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Editions
                      Posted by on 19/05/2016

Hi everyone, today I'm here with very good (and very important) news, so please accept my apologies for the formal tone of this blog post.

So the big announcement many of you have been waiting for - we have been able to produce 10,000 more copies of the Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition (UCE) which will be sold worldwide! This brings the total up to 40,000 copies of the UCE.

                      http://eu.square-enix.com/sites/defa...dd908a74fe.jpg

We have only been able to produce 10,000 more UCEs due to the time it takes to create each individual Noctis Play Arts Kai figure because they are so detailed, and to confirm, this is the final batch of UCEs we will produce.

We cannot guarantee that this new batch of 10,000 UCEs will arrive on time for the launch of Final Fantasy XV on 30th of September 2016. But rest assured we are trying our absolute hardest to get them to fans in time. We will of course provide updates on this closer to the time of release as we know how important it is for you guys to have the game as early as possible.

If you're reading this post then you're going to want to know exactly how to get yourself a copy! I have four different sets of instructions depending on where you're ordering from.
                      • For our fans in North and South America: The newly produced copies of the UCE will be distributed to fans based upon their order within our waiting list. Successful fans will receive an e-mail containing a private link to purchase a UCE, this link will only be valid for 48 hours. These e-mails will be sent out on May 23rd at 9AM PDT. If we do not receive your order during this period, the UCE will go on sale to the next person on the waiting list.
                      • For our fans in France: The newly produced copies of the UCE will be distributed to fans based upon their order within our waiting list. Successful fans will receive an e-mail containing a private link to purchase a UCE, this link will only be valid for 48 hours. If we do not receive your order during this period, the UCE will go on sale to the next person on the waiting list.
                      • For fans in the EU (excluding France): Our new batch of UCEs will go on sale on Monday 23rd May at 10AM BST on our EU store and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchases will be limited to one per person.
                      • For fans in Australia and New Zealand: There will be more UCEs made available for our fans here, more details to follow.

Thanks for reading. We're aware that the demand for this UCE is extremely high and we're trying everything we can to get the limited quantity available to our fans in time for the worldwide release of Final Fantasy XV on 30th September 2016.
