Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea available in High Definition, dubbed only and stereo, up on the iTunes store in the US, Australia and United Kingdom.
Only a few more months. Took 13-15 years to get a re-release but is finally coming!
With this re-release, the subsequent OOP seasons should be getting same treatment sometime in 2016. The question now for Pokémon OOP release may be with the first three movies.
I already own Warner's triple feature of the first three films, but wouldn't they still have the rights? Miramax still has 4-7, and Cartoon Network showed a remastered version of the first film a couple years ago. I hope they return to print though. I still need to upgrade Mewtwo Returns from VHS. I would also double dip on the first 3 films if we finally get widescreen releases.
Miramax still technically has 4-7, IIRC. They just licensed the home video rights to different companies after Disney sold them to a holding company. All of their titles re-released by Lionsgate and Echo Bridge still have the Miramax logo on the packaging and before the films.
Is Pokemon: Lucario & the mystery of Mew in the same quality on iTunes as Ranger?
More or less - I'd say it's a little better, because in some scenes the clarity jumps up for no reason (check the last few caps below).
And for anyone who missed it:
Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew available in High Definition, dubbed only and stereo, up on the iTunes store in the US, Australia and United Kingdom.
Another letdown for the U.S.: Pokemon Movies 1-3 on Blu-ray bundled in a special edition "steelbook" type of packaging are releasing!... in Australia...
After Johto Journeys getting re-released I'm not too mad over this especially considering I own the bootlegs off of eBay, but still more of the usual: Australia getting everything Pokemon related and U.S. just now getting Johto. Annoying.
Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction available in High Definition, dubbed only and Dolby Digital 5.1finally (plus stereo), up on the iTunes store in the US, Australia and United Kingdom.
Also, not sure if worth noting, but apparently the first ever official Pokémon interactive iBook, A Pokémon Super Story! Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, was released as a companion to the movie - also up on the iTunes store in the US, Australia and United Kingdom.
