Crimson Star Media’s First Acquisition
NEWNAN, GA. June 29th, 2013 — Love can be found in the strangest places. Check out Crimson Star Media’s first acquisition: Looking Up At The Half-Moon! Based on the light novel Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora by Tsumugu Hashimoto, this six episode series is directed by Yukihiro Matsushita (Maria Watches Over Us), and features character designs by Mitsuru Ohara (Peach Girl), music by Shinkichi Mitsumune (FLCL, Rozen Maiden) and animation by Group TAC (Black Blood Brothers, Gilgamesh).
Yuuichi Ezaki was recently diagnosed with Hepatitis A and admitted to the hospital to recover. One day after sneaking out, he returns to the hospital only to be confronted by the head nurse, Akiko. Later that same day while on the rooftop, Akiko makes a deal with Yuuichi. She will overlook his sneaking out of the hospital in the future if he will befriend a new patient at the hospital. The girl, Rika Akiba, has just recently been moved into the hospital to get the proper care for her serious heart condition. What ensues is a friendship that grows into something more as Yuuichi and Rika begin to bond looking up at the half-moon.

Crimson Star Media is a group of avid anime fans that started out working in fansub groups, subtitling and releasing anime every season as it aired. We loved anime so much that we decided to try our hand at getting into the industry. Crimson Star is still in the beginning stages and trying to raise capital. At the moment we are currently in contact with many various Japanese licensors for particular titles. Also we are trying our hardest to form partnerships with other pre-existing companies to help in our endeavors. We hope to bring some good news anime fans way very soon. So stay tuned.
