ADV used to have an office in Germany as I recall; I specifically remember they released Azumanga Daioh in Germany.

I got the bluray recently in the mail and can reaffirm that the English track's audio sounds awful and that the release for it still has issues. Everything in the Japanese track sounds clear and is comfortable to listen to, but the English track has muffled voices and weird sounding muffled sound effects. Only the music comes out well. I don't understand why the sound quality is so off.

I just got mine in this week as well and will agree that the English audio sounds every bit as bad as everyone is saying (other than the OVA). It's actually painful to listen to at times, despite the dub itself being very good. It comes across as very digitized-sounding and tinny. It's an issue with the Blu-ray since it sounds perfectly fine on Amazon Instant Video, which uses the same HD materials as the Blu-ray.

What's left is most likely a small batch Rightstuf set aside specifically for the Holiday Sale - so I would guess it won't stay in stock very long.

Well this came out of nowhere. I guess it must be a nice seller for them to put out an LE after all these years.

Elfen Lied is an eternal evergreen and one of ADV's all-time best-sellers by far, so it shouldn't be that shocking.

Let's hope this has new discs so there's no more muffled English audio.

I think I'll double dip on this for the soundtrack. Hoping the full intro/ending tracks will be there too.

I got the UK steelbook a few years ago, which unfortunately has the muffled audio. The soundtrack might be a nice incentive to pick it up again, but I'll definitely grab this release if the audio is fixed.
