And that's what I like to hear. Now just put it on Blu-ray and I'll be there day one.

Everybody knew this was coming, and I hope that they will treat it nicely given what I am expecting them to charge us for buying it.

I'm not surprised; unfortunately, the show wasn't as interesting as the first episode suggested that it might be, so I'll be passing on Aniplex's eventual release.

This is as expected, as there were tons of hints prior to this announcement. I wonder why AoA never issued a streaming announcement PR for the series though. In any case I'm very interested in the home video release (and how the release configuration will be handled).

I'm OK with watching this on Crunchyroll and don't like it enough to buy, particularly with an inevitably expensive (relative to other US companies) release. I am curious to see whether it will get a dub or not.

Again, not a surprise. I won't be purchasing the series but happy for the fans of the title.

If you ask me, I would be surprised if this DIDN'T get a dub.

Dub or Sub, I'm one of them that will buy it. I'm also hoping they will put the soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura with it.

and if you dub it, please don't run it on viz's Neon Ally first like Blue Exorcist. Release it on disk.

Day 1 even if sub only. Though I hope they get further seasons assuming Aniplex is run by competant individuals who want to continue the thrilling adventure of my precious Kirito.

Since this is a 25 episode series I'm hoping they don't follow the singles type release they did with Blue Exorcist. Seeing Aniplex license this just dampers my chances at even getting the title since they don't charge R1 prices and tend to keep it at a Limited release. Do wonder if they will change their way of handling this and the other 2 titles they acquired and how long of a wait there will be for the release whether it gets a dub and a Bluray.

This is welcomed, if entirely expected, news. I am inclined to pick up the series when Aniplex release it here, but...I want to finish watching the stream before I make a final determination. I like it but the 'blah' factor is pretty high.

And Aniplex? Way to make it so obvious that you would eventually license it that you could not get a flat 'Oh' in response when you actually drop the press release.

Aniplex USA licensing Sword Art Online, this is the worst licensing news ever. Unless I can buy it for about $120 with an english dub.

I am not sure if I want to keep watching more episodes of Sword Art Online, This news totally ruined my weekend.

Who else were you expecting would license such a popular anime from Aniplex? Kind of odd to now have such an intense reaction...
