  • I had a feeling that Mob Psycho would get on Toonami, and they should have chosen to put this show on the block instead of Pop Team Epic. So in keeping track of what episode the shows are, here are the episodes airing tomorrow on the block:

    Dragon Ball Z Kai: 4/169
My Hero Academia: 23/63 (through season 3)
    Naruto: Shippuden: 223/500
    Boruto: 4/Ongoing
    Dragon Ball Super: 84/131
    FLCL: Alternative: 1/6
Attack on Titan: 46/49 (through first half of season 3)
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable 9/39
    Black Clover: 43/Ongoing
    Hunter X Hunter: 116/148
    One-Punch Man: 10/12
    Lupin the 3rd: Part 4 20/26
    Samurai Jack: 4,5/62

I would have to think that MP100 takes over Attack on Titan's spot in the lineup as that show is going on break, but if so it should be premiering on Nov. 17 and not next week. For Megalo Box, it is presumably going to replace FLCL Alternative after it finishes its second run. Also, One Punch Man is wrapping up soon, and chances are it's going to be replaced by another run of Cowboy Bebop. Anyway, with the current schedule there are four shows that will be ending before the end of the year with One Punch Man, Attack on Titan, FLCL Alternative, and Lupin III coming to an end soon with MP100 and Megalo Box set to join the block, while the other two I can see it being for reruns. The next new shows on deck should be Lupin III Part 5 and Sword Art Online: Alicization.

This premiere of MP100 next week just doomed FLCL: Alternative to the 3 AM slot after this week. With Attack on Titan going on break soon, they could have waited until December 1 and had a big premiere night then for both MP100 and Megalo Box. November 17 should have been used for the final two episodes of FLCL: Alternative, followed by a Thanksgiving weekend marathon on November 24.

      • Another good addition to the block. I'm glad they got it before the next season of either ONE series.

                        • ON several measures wise they should probably move HeroAca down in the schedule, Naruto to Boruto should probably permanently remain fixed together. in the current timeframe until the end of time.

What is the current Top 5 list of requests for Toonami? - Goblin Slayer, Lupin III Part V, Violet Evergarden, Golden Kamuy, Banana Fish... among others!

                              Comment

                              • Out of these, Lupin III is pretty much the only given seeing that Toonami gave part IV a rerun even though it didn't do so well in the ratings. Goblin Slayer and Golden Kamuy are doable, but the rape scenes in the former might have to be toned down. For the other two, they would have to negotiate through Netflix for Violet Evergarden and Amazon for Banana Fish, but they would make great additions to the block. And in particular, Banana Fish somebody needs to dub that show first, though I'm pretty sure it will someday.

So looking forward, DBZ Kai, MHA, Boruto, Naruto, and Black Clover are going to continue indefinitely as there's no end in sight for those shows, while Golden Wind is obviously going to replace Diamond is Unbreakable when it ends in June, and there's one more cour of Attack on Titan coming this spring, and Mob Psycho season 2 will move in, though it might take awhile since it's being dubbed in LA where they aren't so open to doing simuldubs. On deck for Toonami should be One Punch Man season 2 (which begins in the spring), Sword Art Online: Alicization, and Lupin III Part V, and the shows that are ending soon on the front end of the block are Mob Psycho in February (would be replaced by season 2 had it been dubbed in Dallas, not so sure with the dub being in LA), Megalo Box in March, Hunter x Hunter in June, and some of the other reruns that I haven't been keeping track of lately.
