  • [DVD/BD] [UK] Unreleased Licenses

    Widgets Magazine
Occasionally I see a title on my list I'd forgotten was ever announced and think "whatever happened to that?". Commonly I take a glance and see that it's not been released in the US yet either, but I've never sat down and actually documented anything.
I will be including anything which has been announced to be released in the UK which isn't listed with retailers or has been indefinitely delayed but not explicitly cancelled, excluding latter parts of split series (e.g. Seraph and Arslan) and re-releases (e.g. Anime Limited standard editions). I am them going to look into what is happening with them in other regions or other mitigating factors.

    Re: [UK] Unreleased Licenses

It's also worth mentioning that alongside The Place Promised, Anime Limited also licensed the Travelling Daru short and apparently they also picked up She & Her Cat (based on a FB response). Both of these were never mentioned since.

Ignoring Anime Limited for the time being... we're waiting on Sentai for a fair amount of stuff, although two are possibly either cancelled or pending on Australia to do something?

Couple of corrections from the Australian side of things. Madman has the licence to One Punch Man here and it isn't Siren Visual who's released the Monogatari Series, it's Hanabee.

Mea culpa, I though I'd double checked that but I actually hadn't.

Madman has the licence to One Punch Man here
I definitely had checked that one, I must have just pasted the wrong line in.

The two which were released in the US a year ago yet have had no no update here since the initial announcement, Busou Shinki and PhotoKano.

                Re: [UK] Unreleased Licenses

So out of Comic Con so far:

Fullmetal Alchemist is dated and available to order, so I am removing it.

Assurance from MVM that Owarimonogatari, Re-Kan, Photo Kano and Sakura Trick are coming out this year (and I missed the latter).

Place Promised and Voices are still coming, but nothing on timescsales.

I'll start adding new titles once the con is over so we have a complete list and as much info as is forthcoming.

Triage-X has now been solicited in the US. I'm going to add a bunch of FUNimation titles since, while they have dates with retailers, a lot of them don't have actual dates yet.

                          ----edit----

I'm not including these on the main list because Anime Limited have provided firm dates for them, but in case anything happens...

Added a few US release dates. Archiving the following:
                            • The Place Promised in our Early Days
Technically this does have a release date with retailers, but it has been rescheduled constantly over the last 3 years and the last update direct from AL was for a 2016 Q1 release...
                            • Voices of a Distant Star
See: The Place Promised in our Early Days
                            • Your lie in April
Released by Aniplex in the US (2016-03-29). Released in Australia by (2016-07-06).
