Seems all the info regarding content and packaging is all TBA for the moment, the mock cover art is entirely blank. All we know for sure is that it has the complete 27 episode series, and is a limited edition. Considering how poor the Australia dollar is at the moment, it'll also be much cheaper to buy this release than importing (edit: if you are in Australia), although the current price on the B2B website ($110.96) is most likely not final.

Correction - this is a Blu-ray only release.
Anime is not a right. It is a privilege, a consumer product, art, work for hire, a luxury, a hobby, entertainment.

Find me on Facebook and Follow Me on Twitter to see plenty of silliness in the anime and manga worlds and much, much more.

              Still waiting on contents.

If this had included the movies I would have finally upgraded my DVD singles. Seems odd to exclude the movies, was a good opportunity to finally put them on BD. Particularly as Anime Ltd Ultimate region B release is still available with the movies on BD.

I guess they might also rerelease the movie collection as well later separately. But for some reason I have my doubts.

According to a reply on a facebook post, the Pierce the Heavens collection will actually include the movies!

                  Re: Gurren Lagann

Well colour me surprised if so. As if it includes the movies as well, I think that would make it the cheapest full set available anywhere.

Although actually given the advertised runtime of 986 minutes, that is obviously far more than the 27 episodes it mentions.

I noticed the disc count listed is 6 on the Madman link above, I'll assume they're using the exact same discs as the UK version. 4 for the TV series and 2 for the Films/Parallel Works.

The same messed up discs with spliced in SD footage I guess.

It's not the only problem, unfortunately.
Quite sure they'll use the Anime Ltd. authoring, as the UK edition shows also the Madman logo at the beginning.
