Seems weird they're not waiting for Funi to dub them (if Funi actually has any plans for the rest of the movies), but I'm happy I'll actually get my hands on movies 2, 4 and 6.

I think this is fair proof that Funi has no plans for the rest of the movies at this time. Though it was pretty clear they didn't already, given how long it has been and no announcement for any of them.

Just going to leave this here:

              UK Anime Network ‏@ukanime 4h

The first three One Piece films will be presented in 4:3, their native aspect ratio as they weren't theatrical releases originally.

@Mendinso We've just confirmed that those initial One Piece movies are letterboxed, not 4:3.
This is really weird, because as far as I am aware, Europe and other territories have gotten anamorphic (and/or HD) masters for these movies. So not sure what happened here...

I have a beautiful BD rip of the Second Movie and it's very much widescreen so yeah this is frustrating. I think I will wait for Funimation to eventually get around to doing them

When they say "letterboxed" they may just mean 16:9, not 4:3.

A few notes on Collection 3:

                      Movie 7 (source):

-The ending song "Sayaendou" by NewS is kept intact, this was important because NewS is a Johnny's Entertainment band.

                      Movie 8 (source):

-The English & Japanese audio are both in Stereo due to the disc being newly authored instead of ported from the Australian release.
-They didn't get the English version of the ending song, "Compass", for the dub track so it's in Japanese on both.

^ That's unfortunate about "Compass." Caitlin Glass' version of that song is probably my favorite of FUNi's One Piece song covers. Most of them are hit/miss, but that one really captured the spirit of the song well, and IMO, sounded even better than the Japanese version. Sadly, it's only available on the US Blu-ray.

Have there been dubbed songs on any of the other movies?

No, "Compass" is the only one. The only movies that we've gotten at all are Movie 8 (Adventures in Alabasta), Movie 10 (Strong World) and Movie 12 (Film Z). Though Film Z does have English-language songs from Avril Lavigne, they were all present in the Japanese version as well.

It's a consequence of them licensing from Toei rather than FUNimation then; the Japanese BDs for Kiddy Grade didn't include FUNimation's dubbed songs even as extras so Japan either isn't interested in English dubbed songs or they're just not included in the "you make it but we own it" clause that covers the dubs and subtitles for the show itself.
