Hmm thought they might do some sort of collector's edition for this, at least an artbox. Seems not. I will probably get FUNi's version.

So they are going to do it.

Seems about $10 more expensive than it should be though. I think a $10 markup on buying individual sets is decent, particularly given they aren't including most of the FUNi extras. Instead they have gone for +$20.

I guess they are trying to make sure the individual sets still sell. Particularly as they are releasing six different sets for this show on the same day.

Well this is somewhat odd if correct:
              Region 1 & 4 (PAL)
The only reason I can see for them being Region 1 would be sharing discs with FUNimation - which means they woud be NTSC, and that would be unlikely for DVDs anyway. I can't see any reason for Madman to include R1 on their discs since AFAIK they've only ever licensed for R4 and R2 regions (AU, NZ and ZA). Are there even any R1 PAL regions? I'm not aware of any.

Well the simplest way to know is if the Funimation released discs are 1,4 as well. Which would lend weight to a disc sharing hypothesis. If they aren't 1,4 then it is instead likely a stuff up.

FUNimation would never produce PAL discs so either way, so there would still be an error in the specs.

Yes but it isn't unheard of for AU licensors to release NTSC discs. Unusual certainly. I wasn't implying that the US release would be PAL.

That lists some NTSC discs, or rumored to be at least (listed by you in fact I see :D). There were two that were disproved. But for the rest they have been on the catalogue so long now that one imagines they would have been fixed if they weren't. I cannot test any of them myself as I only buy BDs from MM.

If the PAL bit is correct then the discs definitely weren't printed by FUNimation. If the R1 bit is correct, then it is odd if it was authored by Madman. Either way, something may be wrong with the listing.

Oh right. Missed the PAL. Must check my eyes, why was I thinking that was NTSC.

well there was that shake up were funi authored soul eater and despite the discs saying regions A/B both on the AU relase and the amazon one had one of the discs locked to A ( the madman product was just funi discs repackaged ) and thus they had to do a recall on the other hand a few of the overseas products lets say "broken blade" the discs that manga entertainment are shipping the discs for those are stmaped with the madman logo ( and seelling for less then half the price) basically alot of back room deals going on these days - some times its the same company pressing all the discs but i cant speak for every product made

I enquired about NTSC titles in a conversation with a MM rep, here is their response I got. I was basically just asking for confirmation that NTSC listed titles were indeed NTSC. I mentioned P-P but didn't specifically ask about it (so their statement may or may not cover P-P as they didn't call me out that P-P isn't listed as NTSC. This was before I got my eyes checked ):

Yes they are indeed NTSC. We have made a switch for some of our titles.
In likelihood though I imagine P-P is NTSC, given it matches other titles that are NTSC. FUNimation basically. Also given the MM release is fairly closely copying the US one, makes it even more likely.
