One of the best things on both the Blue Period and Komi Can't Communicate dubs respectively is that not only are both of them done at VSI Los Angeles instead of Bang Zoom! but you got directors Todd Haberkorn (for Blue Period) and Michael Sorich (for Komi) went all out to bring in well-known anime voice actors (veteran and newcomers) such as Erica Lindbeck, Christ Tergliafera, Amber Lee Connors, Jenny Yokobori, Anne Yatco, Cristina Vee, Amber May, Skyler Davenport, Xander Mobus and Dorothy Fahn in a VSI Los Angeles anime dub considering that up until now, the majority of these voice actors, especially Cristina Vee, either don't work or rarely do voice work at VSI Los Angeles before considering that the production team at that studio like to utilize the voice actors they prefer using in their anime dubs. On top of that, it's also awesome to see Amanda C. Miller in a new anime dub considering outside of voicing Boruto and her reprisal as Sailor Jupiter in Sailor Moon Eternal (which Todd Haberkorn did voice direct) she has largely stopped doing voicework and primarily works as an ADR Scriptwriter these days.

Blue Period is also Todd Haberkorn's third anime dub for VSI LA after Levius and Sailor Moon Eternal, while Komi is Michael Sorich's first anime dub he voice directed at VSI Los Angeles since the Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas dub in 2018.

Lastly it is surprising but at the same time bittersweet that Komi is Scott Page-Pagter's first VSI anime dub he script wrote and final anime project before he passed away last month, which means that the dub for Komi likely started back in October of 2021.

The English trailer for Netflix's Orbital Children has been posted on their website and recognize a couple of voices in the trailer.

No doubt that's Ray Chase as Mayor Sagami, Griffin Burns as Touya and presumably Adam McArthur, Colleen O’ Shaughnessey, and a few young child actors as the voices for the Kids which all point to this series being a Studiopolis production.

Update, looks like it is indeed a Studiopolis dub with Jeff Nimoy confirming he did the script adaptation and Colleen O'Shaughnessey confirming she voices Hiroshi (the boy with glasses).

Interesting they kept the Netflix dub considering back in August it was rumored to get a new in-house dub glad this was disproven.

Good to see Studiopolis being confirmed for Orbital Children cause outside of Baki, Ultraman, Dino Girl Gauko, Pacific Rim: The Black, and Baki Hanma, Netflix hardly uses Studiopolis for their Netflix anime series (regardless it's a Netflix anime original or a licensed one) as they just prefer using SDI Media/Iyuno-SDI Group, Bang Zoom! or VSI Los Angeles for their anime series dubs.

Can't wait for the rest of the cast to be revealed this Friday.

Perhaps it's a similar situation like what happened with JoJo: Stone Ocean and the rest of the other Netflix anime dubs such as Gundam Hathaway, Baki Hanma and Super Crooks that didn't had their English credits released once their dubs came out. They just wanted more time tweaking to get the credits ready, however for Stone Ocean, Gundam Hathaway, and Super Crooks they had their English credits ready 4-5 days later while with Baki Hanma (also Studiopolis) it took 2 weeks to get the English Credits ready. Hopefully we don't wait for another 2 weeks for Orbital Children.

Regarding Ray Chase, I'm pretty sure he's Mayor Sagami.
