    Widgets Magazine
Thought it might be useful to have this thread.

Home Video details haven't been confirmed yet for these titles as far as I know.

Decision to include a dub can sometimes be determined by high streaming numbers or another English market who licensed the same title and wants a dub

A Blu-ray release doesn't always mean an English dub (it was the case until August 2013 when Sentai announced subbed-only Blu-rays for their December slate) but some titles that are DVD-only still get dubs

Once details are known the list can be updated. Any sub-only titles will be removed. Once the dub is available on DVD/BD (rightstuf starts shipping) I'll remove those titles from the list too; by then anyone who wants to know if English audio is included or not can check at the product page at rightstuf

Any new acquisitions without details in the PR can be posted here too.

Btw am I missing any new recent acquisitions that didn't specify the type of release?

AFAIk all the press releases for the new shows I've read so far either mentioned blu-ray (dub) or subtitled DVD.

Since Sentai licensed a bunch of shows at AX I thought I'd update this thread for anyone interested.

Yes. The OVAs haven't been confirmed to be licensed though.

Majikoi - Oh Samurai Girls has been licensed in Australia by MadMan, so the chances of it getting a dub now are extremely high.

Extremely high? I would replace that to somewhere in the maybe range. The most recent example would be Mayo Chiki! It's licensed by Madman Ent. and it's only getting subtitled DVD treatment by Sentai Filmworks. There is no way to know (for sure) until more information is revealed.

Yeah I heard about that too but as WTK said there is no way to know for sure until more information is revealed.

Another example is that Siren Visual plans to release Un-Go sub-only even though Sentai plans to dub it. Australia or UK license doesn't always = dub

Do you think I should keep them included in the first post even if they have release dates confirmed or dub details mentioned in the PR?

If so I guess I should re-add the following upcoming titles that have confirmed dubs:

*Another - PR mentions Blu-ray (Kadokawa situation could be DVD-only but still dubbed)

*Bodacious Space Pirates - PR mentions Blu-ray

*Children Who Chase Lost Voices - PR mentions Blu-ray

*Hakuoki - Release Date: September 25, 2012 (Hybrid)
(Sentai Filmworks told ANN that it will release "all of Hakuoki that is out right now." The Hakuoki anime franchise includes the 12-episode Hakuoki series, the 10-episode sequel series Hakuoki Hekketsu-roku, and the 6-episode Hakuoki Sekkaroku OVA series

They also recently licensed Hakuoki Reimeiroku at AX.

We can assume all of these Hakuoki titles will be dubbed too unless season 1 bombs and they release the rest sub-only...)

*Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere Season 2 - PR mentions Blu-ray

*Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Release Date: September 4, 2012 (Hybrid)

*Inu x Boku SS - PR mentions Blu-ray

*Mahoromatic: I’m Home Specials - Release Date: July 10, 2012 (Hybrid) & w/ original dub cast (outsourced)

*Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion - Plans to Release Film Trilogy on DVD & Blu-ray

*Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust - Plans to Release Film Trilogy on DVD & Blu-ray

                      *No.6 - Release Date: August 21, 2012 (Hybrid)

*Persona 4: The Animation - Release Date: September 18, 2012 (Hybrid) & w/ game dub cast (outsourced)

*Saiyuki Gaiden - Mentioned plans to release the OVAs w/ original ADV Films dub cast

*The World God Only Knows Season 2 - Release Date: August 7, 2012 (Hybrid)

Ok I've updated the first post.

I also included info for OVAs and Specials.

Let me know if I'm missing any.

Sentai usually doesn't dub Specials (e.g. Samurai Girls was sub-only) but sometimes they do (e.g. Needless)

Siren's release got pushed back to include the English dub. I think there is a high probability that the series will be this year by Sentai Filmworks.

I recently checked with S23, Hakuoki Sekkaroku OVAs still can't be confirmed. Until they say more, I treat that as unlicensed. Japan just finished releasing those OVAs in late June.
*Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere Season 2 - PR mentions Blu-ray
Season 1 is getting Blu-ray release too (I did get confirmation from S23). It would not make any sense to release Season 2 on Blu-ray and not Season 1.

Given that Mayo Chiki was even mentioned as dubbed at one point by the UK licensor, I wonder if we can even be so sure about some "confirmations" like the Heaven's Memo Pad one. Sentai may be open to changing their mind on whether to dub some of the titles that are far off in the future. It also may be possible that they could change their mind on sub-only BD's at some point, if the costs to do them comes down.
