I'll take a stab at making this topic this year.

I definitely feel like I'm missing a few, so please let me know if there are any I forgot.

    FUNimation Entertainment
55 dubs, 56 counting Fairy Tail 2014, 52 not counting other second seasons. Includes 2 movies and 1 special series. A humongous increase from least year's 32 dubs. * means it was outsourced.

    Any hopes for 2016?

I'll post my thoughts in a little bit, I hope there aren't any glaring mistakes in this post.

Re: Your Favorite Dubs and Performances of 2015

Do this year was a pretty great year for dubs if I do say so myself. Funimation brought tons of broadcast dubs, Aniplex had a fairly short turn around on a bunch of their shows, Netflix picked up a few more shows, Sentai got on Toonami, Jojo was finally released, and Viz has stepped up their game by licensing One Punch Man and Hunter x Hunter.

It was also a great year for newer voice actors, especially in LA. Robbie Daymond, Max Mittelman, Kyle McCarley, Erica Lindbeck, Brianna Knickerbocker, and Zach Aguilar among others stand out. We also saw the return of some older voice actors in new anime roles, like Lex Lang, Ethan Murray, Paul St Peter, and Dave Mallow. Bang Zoom also seems to have a few more regular directors with Lex Lang, Chris Cason, and Kevin McNulty.

Basically the year hit all the hopes I had mentioned in last year's thread except for more NYAV and NGP dubs, and a better Neon Alley lineup. I've also managed to watch a ton more in this past year then I ever have before because of Netflix.

Shows that I watched (favorites are bolded)
      Assassination Classroom
      Blood Blockade Battlefront
      D-Frag!
      Death Parade
The Heroic Legend of Arslan (most of it anyway)
      Maria the Virgin Witch
Ninja Slayer From Animation (half of it)
      Ping Pong
      Prison School
Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign
      Tokyo Ghoul
      Tokyo Ravens
      Log Horizon
      Parasyte
      Tiger and Bunny the Rising
      Aldnoah Zero
      Durarara x 2
      Expelled From Paradise
      Fate Stay Night
      Kill la Kill
      Magi
      Madoka
      SAO II
      Jojo
      Seven Deadly Sins
      Tales of Zestiria
      Yuki Yuna
and a whole bunch of broadcast dubs that I sampled I decided I didn't like.

Favorite actors and actresses of the year
Ben Diskin - Jojo, Seven Deadly Sins
      Kyle McCarley - Durarara, Fate
Aaron Dismuke - BBB, Ping Pong, Arslan
Tia Ballard - D-Frag!, Tokyo Ravens
Austin Tindle - Tokyo Ghoul, Prison School
Clifford Chapin - Tokyo Ravens, Prison School
Caitlin Glass - Tokyo Ravens, Tales of Zestiria (the game)
Ian Sinclair - Tales of Zestiria, One Piece
      Andrew Love - Log Horizon

I like (almost) all voice actors though

      Looking forward to
-A stacked winter season of broadcast dubs, especially after a fairly weak fall and summer (chances are I'll only like a few though)
      -One Punch Man
      -Hunter x Hunter
      -Ajin via Netflix
      -Your Lie in April
      -More Parasyte
-A bunch of shows that aren't dub releated
      -Certain games and their casts

      Hopes for the new year
-HxH dub to not be given to Blue Water.
-NYAV and NGP please? New Berserk project is happening, so there's that.
-Netflix and Viz to nab more stuff (Hero Academia please).
-Aniplex to keep on dubbing their stuff and putting it on Netflix. Also to expand upon their delayed simuldubs.
-Funimation to keep going strong with broadcast dubs, and for them to get cracking at releasing their backlog.
-Jojo to not be sabotaged by it's crappy DVD release, and to have Stardust Crusaders released next year.
-World Trigger? Gintama (not going to happen ever)?
      -More stuff on Toonami
-Ace Attorney to not be entirely recast if Funimation or Sentai get it

Re: Your Favorite Dubs and Performances of 2015

Out of the list of new dubs of the year, I've seen these:
        Akame ga Kill! (8 episodes)
        D-Frag!
        Death Parade
Durarara!!×2 (3 episodes: not sure when I'll get to more as I haven't even watched the Japanese simulcast in a while)
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan (1 episode: plan to watch later, maybe with home video release)
High School DxD BorN (1 episode: am going to watch when it's on home video)
        Ladies versus Butlers!
        A Lull in the Sea
Mikagura School Suite (4 episodes: wasn't a high enough priority show or dub to watch the rest)
        Noragami
        Outbreak Company
        Parasyte -the maxim- (1 episode)
Prison School (1 episode: may watch later when home video version is available)
        Selector Infected Wixoss
Shomin Sample (5 episodes: may watch it as the broadcast dub concludes)
Sky Wizards Academy (1 episode: probably not watching more of this)
SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation (2 episodes: eps. 1 and 5)
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya
World Break (1 episode: plan to watch rest later)
The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc
The World God Only Knows OVA
        Yurikuma Arashi (1 episode)

Plan to watch at some point:
A Certain Magical Index: The Miracle of Endymion
        Glitter Force (Smile Precure!)
        Little Witch Academia
Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! -Heart Throb- (whenever it finally gets released on BD)
        Noragami Aragoto
Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion
        When Marnie Was There
        Yuki Yuna Is a Hero

Dub of the year for me is undoubtedly A Lull in the Sea. Already have gone on how that one impresses me, both with its veterans and newcomers. D-Frag! would make a definite second, in how fun it was, and how impeccably cast it was not just for the majors (where Tindle fit better than expected, and Apprill really started to make an impression for me) but also many minor supporting characters.

One of my favorites of the year as far as individual performances was Xanthe Huynh. I've mostly heard her as supporting characters in the past, but here she had a key character with some emotionally intense moments and she really nailed it. Jamie Marchi was a perfect fit for Akira in Wixoss. Can't wait to hear more of her brand of insanity when Spread comes around.

FUNi has a few failings with its broadcast dubs, though I think I still tend to be happier with their output than Sentai's. With Sentai, I get some really pleasing performances in things like Outbreak Company and The World God Only Knows (I should point out Juliet Simmons, since I've liked a number of new roles I've heard from her, particularly from those titles), but these dubs also have a number of questionably cast (usually minor, but not always) roles and in general don't feel as up to par as some of the more memorable dubs of the year. The one episode I heard of Parasyte seemed to be off to be a pretty good start, at least. And though it's not officially released until this year, Hanayamata was a sweet enough spot for Sentai as they can seem to get for me. I guess I was somewhat surprised, given MB's recent issues and the dub studio being relatively new, at seeing Ladies versus Butlers pull off something entertainingly decent. A mixed bag, but a rather interesting one and not really low tier as I thought it might be.

As for what I'm hoping for on the horizon, I second any calls for more NYAV Post. I wish they got to do stuff where my tastes aligned for a whole cour's worth of material or more, but even more of the smaller movie projects I might be interested in are good. Sentai has a number of shows I'll be looking to own when they hit home video, and there are some like Amagi Brilliant Park and Food Wars that I hope will get entertaining dubs.

          - More Aniplex simuldubs
          - Sam Riegal and Kyle Herbert returning as Phoenix and Edgeworth in an Ace Attorney dub if Funimation or Sentai picks it up

All in all this was a much stronger year for dubs than I was expecting coming into it. Broadcast dubs really took over things and given their success, we'll probably see things moving more towards that direction going forward. Glad to see VA's like Erica Mendez, Max Mitterman, Robbie Daymond and Felicia Angelle really take off, and I'm looking forward to hearing even more of their work going forward. We also saw a few promising newer VA's like Justin Briner and Briana Knickerbocker and I'm also curious to see how much more of their work we'll be getting in the future. Also really surprised at the amount of LA dubs we ended up getting since it seemed like it would be a really dead year on that end. It certainly helps that Bang Zoom's expansion ended up producing some notable improvement in the overall quality of their output and between them and Broadcast Dubs, I'm eager to see what 2016 will end up bringing.

Re: Your Favorite Dubs and Performances of 2015

Of all dubs I've seen this year, the only one I got to see which I can offer any talk about is the redub for Vampire Hunter D. While I recognize there are fans who are more familiar with the Streamline dub, I for one found it to be a great improvement over it, especially David Wald's turn as Count Lee. The British accent he provides the character is fitting, and he sounds very regal and charismatic. The overall dub is thankfully, too, more smoother written. Although I will admit that at first I wasn't sold on John Gremilion, but he grew on me after awhile as D. Luci Christian was easily a better match for Doris and while the Southern accented Greco threw me for a loop, I got used to it. Dan is the only voice I didn't particularly like, then again, he wasn't great in either dub. Still, as far as I'm concerned, considering Sentai's track record, this one isn't too bad. Matt Greenfield pulled it off fairly well, and I gotta hand it to him for that.

Oh yeah, and the Princess Kaguya dub is pretty good as well. Much better than the average-sounding Wind Rises dub. I haven't seen When Marnie Was There yet, but I will soon.

Otherwise my year of watching new dubs has been quite stale. I just haven't been keeping up with Anime these days, sorry to say.

Re: Your Favorite Dubs and Performances of 2015

              Overall thoughts on the year?
2015's been a pretty great year for dubs, not only thanks to Funimation's massive increase with broadcast dubs (and Aniplex resultingly copying them for Durarara x2's dub, which I'm really thankful for) but because of how many more new VAs have entered the spotlight and taken up bigger roles, impressing me to no end.

              Favorite dubs and companies?
For companies, Funimation still reigns over all but Aniplex and Viz have been doing quite well for themselves in my book.

Re: Your Favorite Dubs and Performances of 2015

I didn't watch a ton of new anime last year, but the new dubs I saw were:
                - Akame Ga Kill: Cool series, reminds me of Slayers, and Sentai's dub is serviceable
                - Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F': Fun and satisfying film, with a near-perfect dub
                - Holy Knight: Frankly the show sucked, but the dub was a decent first effort from MB. It sounds like they've come into their own with LvB.
                - Kill La Kill: Fantastic series with an excellent, hilarious dub
                - Lupin III: Jigen's Gravestone: Suitable followup to a great TV series, and the dub was unique and serviceable
                - One Piece Enies Lobby: Long, but memorable season, and the dub is still as good as ever
                - Sailor Moon R: My favorite SM season, and Viz's redub is even better than season 1, and an upgrade over the DiC version
                - Sailor Moon Crystal: The show is still mediocre, but the dub breathes some extra life into it
                - Sword Art Online II: Mediocre followup to a terrible first season, but at least the dub was excellent
                - Vampire Hunter D: Campy 80s horror, with a new fun and serviceable dub, though not quite as fitting as the original one

My favorite dub of the year was Kill La Kill. I just think everything about it came together perfectly, which is amazing to me since this did not look like an easy show to localize. The actors were perfectly-cast, the direction was spot-on, the writing struck a perfect tone and balance of humor and emotion. I can't think of a single flaw. Every single person working on that show was at the top of their game. Kudos to Bang Zoom, Alex Von David, and the whole cast and crew. I was very pleasantly surprised with that show and it's dub.

                Actor standouts:
                - Erica Mendez (KLK+SAO II)
                - Christine Cabanos (KLK)
                - Laura Post (KLK)
                - Carrie Keranen (KLK)
                - Patrick Seitz (KLK+OP+SMC)
                - Ben Diskin (KLK+SMR+SMC)
                - Cristina Vee (KLK+SMR+SMC+Lupin)
                - Steve Staley (KLK+SMR)
                - Shelley Black (OP)
                - Sonny Strait (OP+DBZ:RF)
                - Chris Sabat (OP+DBZ:RF)
                - Chris Ayres (DBZ:RF)
                - Stephanie Sheh (SMR+SMC)
                - Amanda Miller (SMR+SMC)
                - "Claudia Lenz" (SMR, biased because I love her and all her performances)
                - Rena Strober (SMR)
                - Cindy Robinson (SMR+SMC)
                - Todd Haberkorn (SMC)
                - Keith Silverstein (SMR+SMC+Lupin)
                - Michelle Ruff (SMR+SMC+SAO II, but mostly for SAO)
                - David Wald (AgK+VHD)
                - Andy McAvin (VHD)

My favorite anime voice actor this year was probably Erica Mendez. Just with voicing Ryuko Matoi, she hits so many levels for that character effortlessly, and while she's clearly having a lot of fun, she doesn't overdo anything. I really admire her skills as an actress and a vocal performer, especially given her status as a relative newcomer, and she's improved quite a bit too. She has a bright future ahead of her in this industry, and I can't wait to hear her take on Sailor Uranus.
Ben Diskin is an extremely close second.

                Hopes for 2016?
                - More dubs from New Gen, NYAV, and Ocean
                - More dubs funded by Crunchyroll, Discotek, Netflix, and Viz
                - More broadcast dubs across the board. This should seriously be the new industry standard.
                - More anime on Hulu, Netflix, Toonami, and broadcast television
                - More work for both newcomers and veterans alike
                - More co-productions
                - Dubs for Dragon Ball Super, Gatchaman II & F, Mushishi The Next Passage, Persona 4 Golden, Lupin III Part 4, and maybe some more classic series

                Dubs I'm looking forward to?
                - Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon Stars, and the Black Moon arc of Crystal
                - Boy and the Beast
                - Eva 3.33

Allison Sumrall(Mui Aiba from Magical Warfare)

                    Most Impressive dub of 2015:

Tokyo Ghoul hands down had all the right ingredients for what an excellent dub should have competent and out of the box voice direction, unique vocal deliveries, gravitas embedded into the core of the acting performances, well balanced casting and the ability to evaluate the source material ultimately making it richer because of the presence of a genuinely remarkable dub. Mike Mcfarland continuously year after year proves that he is one of if not the most talented ADR Director currently working in the dubbing medium when it comes to stellar casting and on point voice direction he always brings that level of high quality to his directing work. I'm hoping he blows the hedges off the door once again in 2016 when it comes to casting and directing hopefully he's able to work on some noteworthy titles in the months ahead we shall see.

When it comes to Houston dubbing some necessary improvements are needed in the voice direction department so that the acting in Houston dubs becomes less inconsistent and more consistent in future dubs. There is some great promising talent floating around in the Houston acting talent pool Josh Morrison, Scott Fults, Amelia Fischer, Todd Waite, Juliet Simmons, Deke Anderson, Steve Fenley, Eric Chase, Joshua Sheltz, Justin Doran, Chelsea Ryan McCurdy, Kendall McClellan. In particular it would be nice to see Joshua Sheltz, Todd Waite, Justin Doran and Deke Anderson show back up in Houston dubbing again. They're far to talented to not be given another opportunity to flex their acting muscles in the dubbing medium again only time will tell if my wishful thinking will bare any realistic fruit.

On the side of Dallas dubbing I just want more competently written ADR scripts, to see Kenny Green, Bill Jenkins, Bradley Campbell, Jason Kane, Ken Marmon, Francis Henry, Chris Hury, Ed Blaylock, Michael Johnson, Brad Jackson, Wyn Delano and Mark Fickert be much more prolific in the casting department this year. It would be nice to see Chris Guerrero finally land a lead male protagonist role in a dub. The usual on pour of Houston and LA acting talent in Funimation's dub is a plus in my book so more of that is always needed to keep Funimation's dubs unpredictable and exciting in the casting department.

A while back on Twitter Robbie confirmed that he played Atrum. As for Leysritt, Jessica is a pretty fair guess considering her other role was so small (that's the quiet one, right?).

Well here's Robbie's tweet confirming he's Atrum. So that's fine.

And Jessica's still just a guess at this point whether she had any other role. (Hell she credits Durarara2 in her Twitter description but she hasn't told us who she played in that either)

Unless they also shared those roles & I didn't know it, you've mixed up who Robbie and Jessica played. Robbie voiced Issei Ryudo and Jessica voiced Yukika Saegusa.
I think they meant The Seven Deadly Sins and not FSN: UBW.
No those are actual characters in F/SN: UBW so there's no mixup.
