    FWIW Gargantia was one of the super rare Viz Megadeals during the last holiday sales. It was discounted to a staggering $35. Managed to get one luckily.
    The SRP between the Blu and DVD is pretty substantial too, if you'll notice.

      Right, thanks for the response. I definitely understand, and I guess I'll just try to figure out how much getting the bluray matters to me by the end of the sale...

      Also, still holding out hope for some more Nozomi/Lucky Penny stuff that hasn't popped up in past years will make a showing, ala Cat's Eye or something!

        Mainly for curiosity's sake, but does anyone remember what the Time of Eve Deluxe Edition was going for at RightStuf back during the April sale (I can find no record of the actual price on the forums, just that it was on sale) and how much it is normally (I assume just at retail price with no discount)?

          As with Viz (for anime), it's nice to see some FUNimation titles added to the sale, but there's been nothing I don't have and feel strongly compelled to get from either yet. I was surprised to see the FUNimation deals advertised with a Fullmetal Alchemist banner in the email despite no Fullmetal Alchemist on sale at this point.

            Yep useless for me as well. As a Cdn. I have to wait and save up a minimum of $250 or more before placing an order so the Funi discounts might as well not even exist.
            Tell me about it. That threshold is brutal. That said, I've found enough titles exclusive to TRSI (like NISA stuff) and others with deep enough discounts to still be worthwhile that it's looking like I can get a decent order in.

                  I wish I could make this number lower, but you certainly can still pay shipping and have orders less than $250. I know no one wants to pay shipping though. Cross border freight just doesn't have any super cheap options that we've found reliable.

                    Ooo! Hanasaku Iroha! I need this! Great price for the set but I'm gonna hold on until Black Friday to see if NISA has a sale or something because I do like their bonus items. But RS price is something I can't pass up. So if it is still available... I'll buy from RS if there is no NISA sale or promo during BF.

                      Agreed. Not TRSI's fault. It's the 20% drop in the Cdn. dollar over the last year that's really killing me. (Damn petro dollar.) And it depends on the studio. I find I can get Funi titles (especially SAVE) almost as cheap on Amazon Canada when they're 30% off as a 46% off TRSI studio sale. Which of course was not the case in the past.

                      Sentai titles are different though. They're a lot more so I'll still be doing a $250 plus order but it will probably be mostly Sentai titles with perhaps the odd Nozomi and Discotek titles as well.

                        All 4 sets of Hakuoki are on sale Yes!! Was one of my most anticipated buys and hoping that it would go on sale and glad to see it finally is ^_^ Going to wait until the first week of december as I get paid bi-weekly but seasons 1-3 and the OVA are getting bought! ^_^ too bad only S3 is in bluray.

                          You are correct -- it's normally not on any discount.

                          As for their discount back in April, I'm not entirely sure since it was before this website, but I believe it was the same.

                            The Gakuen Alice Litebox always seems to be on the everything added today page.

                            I got the Hanasaku Iroha bundle last year, however it was around $10 more and didn't have the movie.

                              Pretty nice assortment of days today. I bought Hanasaku Iroha during the one time NIS America had its studio sale last year and it is great. It's a shame that it didn't sell seeing that the premium editions for this show are still available as this is quite an excellent show, if only for the educational value this show brings. I have my sights set on the movie, so I plan on getting that.
