          • Just ran across the first season of Jubei-chan at Big Lots for $3. They're a brick-and-mortar chain that specializes in liquidations and overstock, so your mileage may vary, but this is not the first time I've run into anime there. They also had singles for some series called Hyper Force
"The roaring of lions, the howling of wolves, the raging of the stormy sea, and the destructive sword, are portions of eternity too great for the eye of man."

-William Blake, "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell"

            • While browsing at Books-a-Million, I found a bunch of remaindered volumes of manga (all Seven Seas), including:
              • Monster Musume volume 10
              • Alice in the Country of Hearts vol.2-7
              • Alice in the Country of Clover vol. 2-7
              • various Alice in the Country of . . . spinoffs
              • and vol. 2 of a slice-of-life yuri title - I'm sorry, I don't remember the name.

All were $3.97, and seemed like they were in perfect shape (excluding remainder marks) - some were even still in the plastic.

Note: - They were not in the manga section, nor were they with the other clearance books. Instead, they were in the graphic novel/comic book section of the magazines.

              • Barnes & Noble is having a Buy 1, Get 1 Half Off that (depending on your store) covers some volumes of manga. Mine, for example, is offering that on volume 1 of Demon Slayer and the collector's edition of Fruits Basket.

However, I don't see any mention of that online, and - from the way the clerks were talking - individual stores may have have some latitude in what titles to include.

Big Lots appears to have gotten a new shipment in. Mine had the first volume of Bakuman and more Jubei-Chan sets

(They also had a bunch of Eighties American stuff, like the Care Bears movie and the Jetsons movie)

Edit: - Fixed a typo in "Bakuman"
