I hope it gets licensed too. Discotek has managed to get some Nagai titles, but I'm not sure if they could get this from the 009 portion. Supposedly, Ishimori Productions is super-protective over any of the IPs and it has to do with why the 2001 Cyborg 009 series hasn't been license-rescued (FUNimation supposedly can't get it because it's not up for license; Sony Pictures' rights supposedly expired around 2010-2011), or something like Kikaider or Genma Wars. If the series flopped the first time around, it was grounds for the licenses being frozen. Of course, I don't wish to repeat hearsay since even company reps don't always know the details of what's up, and it's possible the issue could be even more complex. From what has been murmured about, it seems like it's a matter that affects all properties that have Ishinomori characters since the company ultimately holds the rights to them, and this also ties into why there aren't more titles put on Comixology and why the Archaia Entertainment graphic novel series never went past "Volume 1". Things didn't perform to Ishimori Productions' sales expectations, so the licenses were pulled and frozen.
But here's hoping some company gets it. I'd be battin' most for Discotek or FUNi.

The collector's edition of the Blu-Ray looks rather nice, and would be great to have.
