Re: Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo - Misato & me

On Misato.... Kotono Mitsuishi has voiced hard cold characters, like Mireille in Noir. 3.33 Misato is not quite there yet, but I felt Misato was closer to Ms Bouquet than TV or EoE Misato. I was not totally unprepared for Misato 3.33 voice acting but am sad Anno has made Col. Katsuragi the way she now is.

On Shinji's reboots... according to Wikipedia,
The symbol at the end of the title is used in music to denote repetition after reaching the end of a measure.

The first three films' Japanese subtitles are the names for the three classical movements (Jo-Ha-Kyū or Introduction-Exposition-Climax) of traditional Japanese music such as gagaku and Noh.

    Anyone's guess, speculation, supposition...

      Amazon Japan (http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00BHO70L0/)

      http://www.amazon.co.jp/b/?_encoding...2&node=3244891

BD is 40% off. Price good for another ~22 hours / 3000 units.

EDIT: This ended with 18% of 3000 copies sold (so that would be 540 copies).

Re: Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo

BD is currently US$25.99 @ YesAsia.com. There is probably a very limited amount of copies. Once it hits that unknown limit the price will go back to regular price.

So... am I wrong in my assessment that the regular edition doesn't include or omit anything that's present in the original JP BD release? Or should I assume that the additional "3" in the title means additional improvements to the animation?

Earlier this year, the third Evangelion film, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, got a 4K remaster built for IMAX screens across Japan, being released under the new title Evangelion 3.333. Now, it was announced that the rebuilt version will be released on 4K Blu-ray and regular Blu-ray on August 25.

Under the supervision of Hideaki Anno, Evangelion 3.333 was completely reshot for 4K, using updated technology that wasn't around when the film first released in 2012. While the overall story wasn't changed, some scenes were altered as well as some visuals updated to be more in line with Evangelion 3.0+1.0.

Ahead of the home video release, a double feature screening of Evangelion 3.333 and Evangelion 3.0+1.0 will be held at Shinjuku Wad 9 cinema on June 27 with the cast of the films holding a stage greeting beforehand. Tickets and more details will be revealed at a later date.
