[US BD] Death Note Complete Series Disc 5 freezing and audio dropouts

It freezes at 1:34:15 for a few seconds and then jumps ahead 30 seconds. Trying to rewind to that section also causes it to freeze and jump ahead. There's a few slight audio dropouts with the English audio in other episodes on this disc too. Anyone else experience problems with Disc 5? Mine has a small curved scratch in the middle which may be the cause but I'm not sure.

This is on an Oppo BDP-103 with latest firmware.

Hm, odd I don't remember anything like this happening when I watched my set. Was watching it on a PS3. Did you try another player?

I just tested my copy of disc 5 on my PC, and it didn't freeze or jump ahead at the 1:34:15 mark.

I tested disc 5 on my PS3 and it does the same thing, freezes and jumps ahead around 30 seconds.

^ That's what I think too. It's likely because of the scratch on the disc. I can't return the set since I bought it a while back so I guess I need to contact Viz.
