    Episode 1

Too many cooks in the kitchen.

So this slice-of-life version of this show starts off with Yoshika making breakfast, but Mina gets involved and the end result is a soup so toxic that the hits suffered from Neurois are nothing compared to this. And those girls got what they wanted when a Neuroi attack spared them from it going to show that only Yoshika should be doing the cooking. And then Erica and Charlotte are as thickheaded as ever getting a tan, all while Yoshiko is out there supposedly to get one herself after doing some watch duty. Of course, that was just a bad idea. While it was nice to see these girls again, the animation quality is just awful, albeit being a short I was expecting it, all while some of the humor really missed its mark. But that said, it was nice to see these girls again and hopefully it leads to another series down the line going to show that the World Witches series is still relevant.

      Episode 2

      Cleanup on Aisle 501.

I always knew that Erica was lazy, but this is just beyond ridiculous as while it's expected to see her room as a mess, never would I have imagined that it would become that big of a pigsty, and even after cleaning it up it would only take a day for it to get as bad as it was. And then Mio and Mina tie the knot and do it in style. Pretty much, these witches are just full of quirkiness, and after being absent in the first episode Sanya makes her appearance, and while she isn't as cute as she is in the original series that has much better artwork than this, she hasn't changed at all being the more watchful one in this group of weirdos.

        Episode 3

And now an episode focused on Eila as she just doesn't realize that cooking isn't supposed to be judged by how smelly the food is. Shirley sure has a quirky thought process there and Eila is out of commission because of it. Then to nurse her back to health, Erica has a weird idea to surround her with Sanya faces, which is not exactly what Eila needed. No matter what, only the real deal will do and not some masks with glowing eyes on her bed. Those girls sure continue to do crazy things when no Neurois are attacking to make some of the witches feel more alive when there is an attack.

          Episode 4

          This ought to scare them.

Seeing that Erica and Shirley are just lazy bums that it's no wonder they are gaining weight, and it is especially a big problem during fall as that's when the food is so great that they can't help it and they pack on the pounds. So an exercise session is in order, but those two are already gassed after one short session going to show that they need more exercise. And it course, it just wouldn't be Strike Witches without a Halloween celebration as after all, they are called witches. That was quite amusing seeing everybody trick or treating around the base, and that was an especially nice moment there seeing Eila and Sanya together in bed. Halloween is a holiday for witches, and it's only appropriate that they celebrate it even if Yoshika doesn't know what it is.

            Episode 5

            Cutting down on haircuts.

Mio's hair has grown a little bit too much, so she's cutting her hair. Problem is that she can't exactly do that by herself with her sword, so Mina and others have come to help her out. Too bad they don't know the best way to give a haircut, either, especially with Francesca's crazy plan to put the witches below the ground to do it. And then it's Christmas and a day after Francesca's birthday, and to celebrate, Yoshika gets her welcoming party. It's a shame none of the other girls know how to cook, but it's even worse when some lamebrain puts in disinfectant ethanol in their drinks, and it's no wonder why it's not quite as festive as it should be. Those girls just keep on making a mess of things.

              Episode 6

              Stress stinks. Cavities, too.

Fighting Neurois is quite a stressful job, that much is undeniable. Of course, getting cavities is no fun, either. Not to mention, making the base a stress-free zone isn't as easy as those girls think. Resorting to the old-school treatment of pulling infected teeth with a string has Francesca running, but she can't hide from Sanya, especially when she retreats to Shirley's room. Except that she didn't really have them, adding even more to the stress Francesca was experiencing, but it grew back over time. These girls just keep on going crazy when they aren't fighting.

                Episode 7

                Remember to eat mochi quickly.

It's Setsubun, and thus bean throwing. And it's generally not safe to eat mochi after two months at sea, but they ate it anyway, after shaving off the molded parts, of course. Then with an old film camera pictures are taken, but mostly of each girl's busts. And Eila has competition for Sanya. Once again, craziness and silliness are the norm when not fighting.

                  Into the baths.

And now, a hot springs episode where the girls are taking a soak, all while waiting for the Neurois to strike, and some of the witches are so bored that they were quite disappointed when they don't attack. Pretty crazy mind of thought that was, and the bath is just the right place for all that to happen. And then Marseille comes all the way from Africa making her presence known in a big way, though these witches are just too sleep-deprived to care. Not exactly a great combination, but it made for some funny moments.

                    Episode 9

                    She's not out of shape.

It's another one of those episodes where a perceived weight problem is prompting a girl into extreme dieting measures. Yoshika quickly jumps to the conclusion that she packed on the pounds when she couldn't fly with her striker unit, but it turns out that her unit needs to be upgraded with her magical power becoming too much for it. And then winter comes with the snow piling up and the girls freezing to death (though it doesn't help that most of them aren't dressed for this time of year). Luckily for them, there's a fireplace conveniently located for them. That's another funny episode going to show how these girls aren't thinking straight.

                      Episode 10

                      It's getting hot in here.

From the freezing cold last episode, this time it's blazing hot and the witches are finding creative ways to cool down, from Erica's wind magic to taking a dip and all sorts of other things. But lighting candles to tell a ghost story was quite a bad idea all-around. And what a tough break that was with the steering wheel coming off the jeep while transporting a lot of supplies. These girls are not exactly thinking with their heads straight, but then again not fighting Neurois is taking quite a toll in a different way.

                        Episode 11

Even if it is a dummy, lives are at stake.

The girls are practicing survival training, but Eila is none too pleased that she's doing mouth-to-mouth with something that's not Sanya even if it is just a dummy. But she ends up making a dummy look just like Sanya so that she can go through with this exercise realizing that even it if isn't really her, just looking like her is enough. Perrine has a Mio dummy, but someone was none too pleased with it as a bullet was put through it. Those girls are quite unprepared should a situation like this arise seeing that they are way too selective on who they can give CPR to, and it makes the Neurois seem less threatening.

                          Episode 12 (Finale)

                          Splitting up for now.

So it turns out the unit is disbanding because they have no place to call their home base thanks to Mio overdoing it with her Reppuzan slashes. Instead of being deployed on the mission to take out a giant Neuroi, they are sent on vacation, and they still defeated it thanks to Mio's Reppuzan rampage that she can't stop until Yoshika intervened. So in the end, they are splitting up, but only temporarily because they have no base to operate from. Quite a way that was to end this as Mio wasn't exactly thinking straight and just had to overdo it with those slashes.

Overall, this show suffers from awful animation quality and repetitive jokes, and it really is only for those who are fans of the Strike Witches franchise. While it offers satisfaction to them, there's not much to offer for those who don't fit the target audience. The character designs were especially off-putting. That said, it had some good episodes, and when it involves certain characters it clicks. But with some it just comes across as bland.
