    Episode 1

    Not taking the lead.

And this show is back, and it starts off with a great episode there that showcases why this show is so great. An action-packed opening, followed by some pretty quirky moments at school from Mob's bid for student council president that didn't have a chance, to the love letter, and those buddies at the body improvement club. Quite a nice way to get back into the thick of things as this show continues to deliver, especially with the animation that's ugly done right.

Anyway, while I will be watching this show, I'm probably content to wait for the simuldub since that's how I watched the first season. This season figures to be better since the first season took awhile to get going. Now that the opening jitters are long in the rear-view mirror that it should be nothing but the best.

      Episode 2

More than just an urban legend.

So Mob and company are taking on a job to take down the Dragger, all while another guy is after the same thing. But then one of the legends is actually real and is causing quite a lot of trouble there. Even so, that's still no problem for Mob, and as such, Reigen is advertising his psychic business online, which is quite a good move on Reigen's part. Pretty mind-blowing things are becoming now as after the first season ended in spectacular fashion, it's back to the spirit-of-the-week format that formed the foundation for the first half of this show.

While I had been holding off for the simuldub, there's no word on it coming out, so I'm just going to binge through it now that there's only one more episode left.

There are good spirits and bad spirits.

While Reigen did get the business he had been seeking, unfortunately there will be bad jobs among them, and involves exorcising a spirit that turns out to not be an evil spirit. So a faux exorcism was performed, and all is well. It's nice to see Reigen getting a lot of attention here has he has been quite the help.

          Episode 4

          Back to haunt.

Now it's off to a mansion where a bunch of shady-looking guys have gathered, with Shinra among them. The job is to save the CEO's daughter, and it turns out that late Keiji Mogami is the one responsible. He was a famous psychic, but he became a full-blown monster upon death. So formidable that he needed Dimple to possess him, and in the end Mob got schooled. That sure was mind-blowing seeing Keiji having his way, all while Mob ends up as an ordinary person.

            Reality check, Mob.

It sure didn't take long for Mob to realize just where he is, and he sure showed Mogami that in spite of all the hardships he endured, taking out his anger is wrong. Quite the impressive fight there as the animation certainly is a step up from the previous season remaining faithful to One's ugly style, yet making it work wonders. Totally mind-blowing all this is.

              Episode 6

              Finding a purpose in life.

After an extremely hectic episode last time, this one is laid-back as Mob goes about his daily life and doing stuff without Reigen. But this episode focuses on Reigen as he started up this faux-exorcism business after quitting his salaryman line of work as he just failed to find any meaning in his life. But it's thanks to Mob that he found that reason once more, and now he's going big there with that TV gig. Of course, that had disaster written all over it as that's what happens when he tries to BS his way to make it big, and now he's in a jam.

                Still the real deal.

That was some press conference there all set up by Kirin to bring Reigen down, but of course he remembers just what Mob means to him. He would have quit a long time ago had it not been for Mob as the bashing was just merciless, but he managed to withstand all that. That was great once again as Reigen sure faced a lot of heat.

                  Down in flames.

That was quite a huge game changer there in the end with Mob's house being burned down, along with his family. While Mob has had struggles like with that school marathon, that's just small potatoes compared to this. Mob has really lost his mind now.

                    Episode 9

                    Mob is mad.

Mob sure has lost his mind there, and it's hard to fault him after what happened with his family. And with that, a huge battle has started as Suzuki threw down the gauntlet with Shimazaki kidnapping the Prime Minister with teleportation as Suzuki is about to rule the country through psychic powers. While I was waiting for this moment when the Claw strikes, it was a bit of a letdown the way it happened as all of the sudden the former members arrive and I barely remember them from last time. Nevertheless, an epic battle is about to go down.

                      Episode 10

                      Outmuscle the competition.

And the fights continue as one of Suzuki's generals is fighting using psychic powers to enhance his muscles. Too bad Shibata failed to realize that muscles obtained through normal means are much more effective and Goda schooled him on that, albeit with help from Dimple. While the storytelling was a bit off here, the battle sure was great to see.

                        Episode 11

                        The power of friendship.

Now, it's Mob against Minegishi, while everybody else battles Shimazaki all while Sho goes out to confront his dad. Mob had a tough time seeing that Minegishi had allies and they broke the bottle with Mogami sealed away, but Minegishi soon realizes that it's never a good idea to piss off Mob. And then that battle with Shimazaki was a nice way for everybody to come together and find a weakness in that Shimazaki has a one-track mind. Teruki definitely is no dummy there as he shows what maintaining composure will do. Once again, a nicely animated action scene as Bones has really stepped up their game this season.

                          Episode 12

                          You wanna be my friend.

And now, it's Mob vs. Serizawa as he's the penultimate boss. It turns out that Serizawa just thought that Suzuki's plan sounded too good to pass up, but he's not seeing the whole picture. Mob helps him with that wanting to become friends with him. That just goes to show how much people can learn from Mob seeing that he's socially awkward, but he goes out of his way to deal with it. One more episode left to go as the battle against Suzuki is going to be epic.

                            Episode 13 (Finale)

                            Make broccoli, not war.

That was just a perfect way to end this show as both Mob and Suzuki went all-out, going as far as being willing to go down together. Seeing that skyscrapers were being ripped off the ground to use as weapons goes to show how epic this battle is. Just when it looked like Mob didn't stand a chance, he gets possessed and gives Suzuki a twist he'll never forget. And it ends with a gigantic explosion resembling an atomic bomb. But everybody made it out alive in the end and with Claw no more, everybody is committed to doing honest work now with Serizawa joining Reigen's agency, while Suzuki becomes a test subject. And then there's a giant broccoli growing at ground zero going to show just how freaky that all was. That was simply a sight to behold, and with that the show is over, but an OVA will be coming.

Overall, this season had the advantage of not needing to establish itself as it had trouble doing that in the first season. However, things were clicking right off the bat. And then this show continues to do what it has always done with amazing animation, great action, and mind games that drove the story plot. That said, this show isn't perfect as the structure was questionable, all while the sudden introduction of the former Claw members without much buildup or expansion made it tough to keep track of the characters, as well as making it feel like the big battle happens too soon. In any case, it's an improvement over the first season, but not quite at masterpiece level.
