In an antique shop in Kyoto's Teramachi Sanjō shopping district, high school girl Aoi Mashiro unexpectedly runs into Kiyotaka Yagashira, the son of the shop's owner, and ends up working part-time at the shop. Kiyotaka is called the "Holmes at Teramachi Sanjō," and he and Aoi solve odd cases brought to them by various clients.

    Notes
As usual, please try to follow these three easy forum courtesy habits when replying:
    1) If you're the first person to post about an episode in any given week, please respond to the root post (this post) and indicate in the subject line which episode you're posting about.
    2) If someone has already posted about an episode before you, please respond to that post (or a relevant reply to that post). Keep in the right subthread.
    3) Don't use the "Reply to Thread" button because it causes your reply not to correctly inherit the subject line of the post you're replying to. Just click "Reply" to the post you want to reply to.

    Episode 1

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's Mr. Holmes.

So it begins with Aoi explaining how she ended up working for Kiyotaka, nicknamed Mr. Holmes not because of his mastery in solving cases but for the way his name is written, as she is dead set on getting to Saitama. She tries to take one of her grandfather's antiques hoping to sell it for a fortune, but after Mr. Holmes appraises it, that's too precious to give up. So instead, she's helping out at the shop and the two form a bond. Not a bad way to start there as Mr. Holmes has made quite a nice impression there, and while Aoi is too bland at this point, at least she's interesting enough.

So as usual, the trial goes on a bit longer. My plan is to have only one full-length Monday show make the watchlist, and so far this show had done just enough to keep my interest. Going forward, that will determine where it will stand.
