    Episode 12 (Finale)

    Hit and run.

In the end, Naoto and Marie manage to stop the weapon just in time despite coming under fire from those machines that damage the pillar even further. And then AnchoR ended up being rescued by RyuZU as she puts that bastard in his place. AnchoR is badly damaged, but it's nothing that Marie can't fix up, so all is well as now they are fugitives on the run. So they take a cruise out of Japan, but of course they can't hide from law enforcement, so their battle continues. That was a rather predictable way to end this, and while the action was good, that was just lacking in substance.

Overall, this show is a massive disappointment as it has a laundry list of problems. First of all, the storywriting is just atrocious with the MCs often doing stuff that's inappropriate for the situation at hand, such as Naoto acting perverted towards RyuZU in a time of crisis when there's a crisis situation going on, being the biggest problem. Second of all, the animation is mediocre as Xebec just isn't a good fit for this show. In addition, the MC is largely unlikable and that just doesn't help matters. Lastly, the way the first arc was constructed felt totally lazy and cringeworthy (especially the part where Kyoto was being purged for the sake of getting revenge on a family). There were some good things about this show as the music and soundtrack are great, the characters (other than Naoto) are amazing, the action is pretty good, and the story has intrigue despite being poorly written. But in the end, all of those problems totally sink this show.
