    Less ain't more.

Here comes Tsumugi, and she's a newcomer to the agency owned by her father. She's learning firsthand just how tough it is to be a manager, especially when it comes to the demands of the industry. First, she is given the task of cutting a seven-man idol group down to three seeing that Trigger, the idol group all of Japan has been buzzing about, is a three-man group. In the end, she didn't cut anybody and that's exactly what she was supposed to do in this test that was given to her by her father.

And then the boys hold their first concert, but only draw a sparse crowd of nine as Tsumugi should have done a lot more than just make an official website and hand out flyers to advertise for the concert. But the boys do their best and that performance was impressive. Hopefully those nine attendees can spread the word, and Trigger is also aware of their presence after hearing their song passing through. Tsumugi sure has a lot to learn, but she's pretty humble about it that will go a long way towards greatness.

So far, this show has been pretty solid, certainly better than what I was expecting out of boy idol shows. What makes this stand out is that it's all about a manager growing as one. And then there's the music. Still, it was lacking in that these boys are hard to keep straight, all while they didn't get enough focus to properly set things up. Anyway, I'll continue on for at least another episode come January as I'm interested in seeing what Trigger is all about.

Fame isn't going to magically happen.

So after a strong debut, Tsumugi decides to take a step back and not allow the boys to perform or even practice dancing until after Trigger's concert for a month seeing that these boys aren't on the same page, especially Nagi whose obsession with Magical Kokona is too much of a distraction. Mitsuki threatened to throw away all of his merchandise, but in the end cooler heads prevailed and the boys end up watching it together. That was pretty silly how things emerged, but in the end the boys need to build up chemistry seeing that they are just starting up all while they are taking aim at Trigger, who is taking the world by storm.

So with that, I'll give it a few more episodes seeing that this is one of the better boy idol shows out there. Seeing that I already started this that it will have a longer trial period than other shows.

        Episode 4

Long lost brother has been found.

This episode is all about Tenn as he's Riku's brother who lived separately in order to train for his music career when their family's club business got bought out. He's not feeling well, but after getting escorted, he's ready to go and after the Trigger concert, the Idolish7 boys are determined to sing and dance with the ban lifted. That's some pretty interesting stuff there, and now Trigger is aware about Idolish7 after the boys perform outside the venue and gaining some fans in the process.

With that, the trial period is normally up, but seeing that it got a head start that I'll give it one more episode before making a decision on this show. It's one of the better boy idol shows out there, but still it's in a genre I'm generally not interested in.

          Don't overdo it.

So Riku has a health condition that affects his respiratory, and it's no wonder Tenn looks down on him. Of course, Riku isn't going to let anything stop him, but there comes a time and place where everybody needs to know something so important that could bring down the gang. Iori said it best when he says that Riku's voice is a weapon as he's a talented singer, but the question is whether he can make it through a concert and if he doesn't, then it all blows up. So after performing in front of a train station while service is suspended, they are now suddenly popular as they return to the place they performed their debut concert. This time, it will be in front of a packed house instead of just nine fans.

So I guess I'll go one more as I'm still technically in the show's trial period, and while it has been a pretty good show, unfortunately Sundays are suddenly packed and out of the Sunday shows, I'm enjoying the other ones more than this. In any case, I'm down for one more episode before deciding.

            Episode 6

            Kicking up a storm.

Idolish7's concert is on at the same venue, this time in front of a full house, and while it was a success, it wasn't without problems as Mother Nature had other ideas. The stage lost power, but some dancing to keep the audience entertained while working to get the power back on did the trick. So while the idol group has emerged, the business side is threatening to derail things, first with the boys going off and doing things in smaller groups, and then there's Trigger's manager that has some shady stuff going on that threatens to derail the band. Of course, Trigger is not on-board with it as they only want to do things the right way.

So with that, the trial period is over for this show, and while I like what I have been seeing as this is one of the better boy idol shows, there's just way too much other stuff I would rather watch this season, especially with Sundays suddenly getting packed with great stuff. So as much as I would like to keep going, I think this will be it for the time being.
