    Re: Episode 9

I do wonder when Eita is going to realize that the college he's pouring himself into studying for is no longer the one Mio is actually aiming for. It'll be interesting to see how that comes about and what it will mean for each other's feelings. This is where the lack of communication is getting them. I think I'm so thoroughly in the charming Ena camp at this point. Would be a surprise if she "wins", but I still hope for something nice for her in the end.

      Episode 10

Being put to the ultimate test.

Now that Mio has made her resolve, it?s now on Eita and Haruto as those two boys have some big decisions on their hands. Eita got the message and is now studying to get into Joei, which is quite advanced for him, all while his feelings are wavering between Mio and Ena. And as for Haruto, he has been dumped by Hazuki, though of the soft kind as Hazuki doesn?t want Haruto to bust his budget and interrupt his work schedule to make the trip to Hyogo and visit her. Pretty much, the drama sure is building as the entrance exam is coming up, and despite already being accepted to a college, Eita still has Mio on his mind.

        Episode 11

        Wait until they pass.

So it turns out that Joei is the school Eita was accepted to on recommendation, which is the entrance exam Mio is taking. Even though Mio now knows about this, she refuses to tell Eita until after she passes the exam as it turns out that it would have been impossible to take the exams for both schools as they are happening on the same day. It definitely would have saved Eita a lot of trouble if she had told him as soon as she decided to change her first choice, but instead she kept it a secret. In the end, everybody got what they set out to accomplish with Ena winning her contest, Mio being accepted to Joei, and Eita being accepted to Suizan according to his reaction. One more episode left and it will be interesting to see what happens now since communication has been pretty awful between the three of them.

          Episode 12 (Finale)

It's not goodbye, it's see you later.

That was a clever fake-out there as that smile there at the end of the last episode had me thinking he passed the exam to Mio's original first choice, but he didn't. Nope, that was just anticipation and then he was let down. In the end, it was inevitable that he falls in love with Mio, and little did he know that Mio is attending the same school. That valedictorian speech by Mio was nicely done, and everybody spends one last moment together as a class with Eita spending his last moments as a high school student playing baseball with Haruto. So with that, everybody has straightened out their futures with Eita and Mio being together and attending the same college together after a switch in plans that Mio should have told him about, while Haruto is off to work, and Ena has saved her club. That ending was nicely done.

Overall, this show was a solid romantic drama that has a nice premise, solid animation, and an amazing soundtrack. It does a great job in giving characters depth, all while the drama was nice to watch. That said, this show took quite awhile to get itself established as there were too many characters to keep track off, all while it wasn't clear what was going on with each of them at the beginning. It started out being way to complex for its own good, but midway through things get simplified in a big way was it was clear what each character was dealing with at that point. In all, it's a solid show, but one that could have certainly been written better, especially at the beginning.
