A show that's just like Konosuba, except that the MC brings a smartphone with him to a fantasy world instead of a goddess.

Touya Mochizuki was accidentally killed, and as an apology, God allows him to be reborn in a fantasy world and will grant him any one wish he desires. And so, Touya chooses to keep his smartphone in the next world. In his second chance at life, he befriends many important figures and comes across the world's secret. He inherits the legacy of an ancient civilization and travels around nonchalantly while possessing powers that rival this world's kings.

    Episode 1

    Call to the new world.

So it begins with the MC being killed by accident and as an apology, God sends him to another world with his original body and a smartphone. As luck would have it, his school uni fetches quite a huge price, and he meets the first two members of his harem, the twins Elze and Linze, and they teach him how to use his powers. It turns out he's capable of using all the elements, which is rare in this world. And he makes use of his smartphone to make ice cream.

This show pretty much copies the main aspects of Konosuba so far with the MC dying and reincarnating taking one item with him to the fantasy world, all while crazy stuff happens and he builds a party of girls to go on quests with him, and they even have the eyecatches (without saying Konosuba, of course). That said, while this show gets a big fat goose egg when it comes to originality, I am liking this show so far as while it's set up to be a harem, so far it is holding up as the MC is neither a wimp nor a girl chaser that tends to ruin them, and this show doesn't appear to be resorting on fanservice. That said, while avoiding the biggest pitfalls, it still doesn't add much to the table. Anyway, this show looks like a keeper for this season as the girls are cute and the concept has been utilized pretty well, but I'll have to sort things out first before deciding.

A KonoSuba without its cutting sense of humor isn't that exciting to me. For an isekai show it's not too bad, the protagonist is way too nonplussed but otherwise tolerable enough, and the girls are fine so far, but it's generally not very funny and not otherwise interesting. So no real reason to try to sit through any more.

This must be the most generically generic isekai show I've ever seen. Or would that be insulting the word generic?

The main character is boring. The girls are...kind of boring. The concept is boring.

At least it's not offensive in any way.

        ...but it's boring.

This show is like the iced cream at the end, bland, light and slightly filling. Anyway, it kind of annoys me the lead has no problem with God accidently killing him (you'd think God wouldn't make a mistake). Also, why his cellphone? No harem of women, or anything else a teenaged boy would want? Is this show an indictment of cell phone obsessed youth, or am I reading into this too much?

This is kind of feels exactly like Konosuba, if the characters happened to be rather competent and inoffensive. And while that means it's nowhere near as fun, it's not bad either. I'm interested enough to stick around and see what the rest of (the seemingly very large) cast of characters bring.

This really is a vanilla show to match the vanilla ice cream at the end.

It's Konosuba, without the charm. Or the comedy. And with a silly-powerful lead.

For me, it only just about gets a pass to another episode due to the silver-haired, isekai variant, Fujibayashi Twins.

Everyone's comments seem to be very much on the mark. Straight down to the, inevitable, vanilla ice cream analogies. Of course, I like vanilla ice cream.

I liked this show as well. There are a lot of possibilities that this property possesses which were not attempted:

Kami-sama: "Your cellphone? Well, you can't interact with your old world but you can still observe it and receive info from it."

MC: "That's what I'm talking about! So I can still get porn, right?"

There is so much untapped ecchi goodness out there, but yet another road not traveled. Seriously, however, I do wish some of these shows would follow the fun that would exist if a high-schooler with a normal sex drive (meaning in hyperdrive during the teen years) were placed in these situations. Konosuba comes close, and is a priceless gem for its wonderfully twisted self. And then there's always Re: Zero, which, with Konosuba, established new Gold Standards for this genre.

But the path this show follows seems to be a pleasant one. I wasn't bored, though I certainly wasn't blown away by it. It seems to be worth following, but this is definitely a popcorn show, not steak.

                  Episode 2

                  Magic comes easy for him.

Touya meets two more girls who become part of his growing harem in Yae, a samurai who's strong in judo from a land that's like Japan, and Sushie, the daughter of a duke. Yae is tough as nails when she isn't hungry, while Sue is really cute. Touya learns Kazuma's steal skill and healing magic, which comes in handy to save Sue's butler just when it looked like he was left for dead, as well as cure her mother's blindness. So Touya just continues to have it great there. Everything in this episode is just way too convenient here, and while the writing was pretty weak here, the new girls are interesting.

So with that, I'll continue on through the show's trial period, and while I'm still high on this show, not so much now as I was after the first episode seeing that the show continues to try to be as much like Konosuba as it can.

                    Re: Episode 2

Heh, I liked the Konosuba reference with steal, right down to wondering whether he could steal underwear. This show continues to be mild, not wild, as our OP everyman adds to his harem. The Konosuba reference was a mistake, as this show just pales in comparison.

Not quite as good as last week, but the harem seems nice. I certainly understand why those who've dropped it have done so, and while I'll be keeping with it, at least for now, I see no reason to chide anyone who drops this show when compared to the better shows in this genre.

Yay for Samurai Reimu err I mean Kokono Yae. In any case, this episode was much better than episode 1. A huge part of it was being told not to take this show super seriously. Oh and that Lady Sue would be of interest to me. Of great interest.

As for the guy's powers to be fair, leads having "advantages" are so common we'd have to hate most shows. Plus so far they've set up his powers in such a way they can at least be more varied than "Punch To Solve Everything"

Heck it's already shown, it's less about how many spells he can use and more about which to use, when to use them and how to use them. Hopefully they'll do their best to keep how he helps a bit varied. We'll see.

                        Episode 3

                        It's just like shogi.

Once more, Touya puts his godly powers on display as he makes a shogi board out of a tree stump, uses his search to find something that turns out to be a powerful monster that can absorb magic and is hard as a rock, and extracting images from his smartphone. He approached this quest as if it were like a game of shogi, and that's how he knew to steal the core and smash it. While all seems to be good, it ends with a cliffhanger with the king being poisoned. While this show continues to make Touya OP as hell, now it's making him face adversity, though that came out of nowhere.

So with that, I'll add this show to my watchlist. As unoriginal as this show is, the girls have been able to hold my attention.

LOL the fox-girl onee-san is 17, complete with disbelieving reactions. The gag?

Spoiler ->The seiyuu playing the older sister is none other than Ms. Forever 17 herself, Kikuko Inoue, who perpetually identifies herself as being 17, with the audience responding as the cast does here.

So we've had some mild meta-humor again with this show.

It continues to be an okay show, with the next member of the harem lining up in next episode.
