A series depicting various scenarios of young love. These stories range from a boy, crippled by his absolute lack of confidence in himself, cannot even accept the fact that the girl of his dreams actually asked him out on a date, to the near-psychotic girl that pours her own blood into her homemade chocolate in order to win his heart.

    Episode 1

The four couples are introduced here, and they are pretty odd couples to say the least. There's one with a boy who just doesn't have any confidence in himself, one with a class rep that doesn't take her job seriously, one with a girl who smokes, and one with a guy who is graduating. Of course, the one commonality with these relationships is that everybody has a hard time with their confession. So here, it's just introductions and not much was expanded on any of them, so I can't exactly tell which direction this halfsie is going to go, so I'll keep watching it for the time being.

I guess this is the companion piece to Aho Girl. Some similarities in presentation (it's very obvious that both are 4-koma adaptations), even though the subject matter is seemingly quite different. This actually ends up being nearly as repetitive despite the thing that it's repeating being completely different. I could see this having more variety as it goes on, but as introductions go, this didn't grab me any more, and I don't particularly like the visual components of it either.

Far, far better than Aho Girl, but not exactly bringing out much laughter from me. I will give it another episode, but it's on a short leash.

          Episode 2

And now, four new couples are showcased here, and each with their own quirks. There's a serious guy who's not serious about love along with a vocal sister, a girl who's in the astronomy club even though she's not exactly interested in astronomy, a girl who tears up and drops a contact while that's happening, and a couple walking home together because the girl forgot her umbrella. I was hoping that those four couples would be expanded upon in the first episode, but that's not what I got here.

So with that, I'll give it another episode or two before making the call.

I have a confession to make. I l-l-like this show!

But like, not that much. It's just kinda okay. But worth 15 minutes a week anyway, with its short vignette style suitable for a half-length running time. A full-length episode of this would be too long to have so many of these similar stories, and they're light enough that they can still be quite slowly paced. Cuter than it is funny, but that's fine; finding endearment in the characters helps me chuckle at their little awkward moments more than if it was purely trying to make a joke of them. Still not a fan of the visuals, but not so much that it's enough to kill the show alone.

I admit, I did laugh at some of those facial expressions, and especially at Hotaru's voice work.

We don't get enough of Tomatsu Haruka lately, and this is fun role to show her range too. A bit of nostalgia in how one of her characters is yet again at odds with someone voiced by HanaKana.

                  Episode 3

This time, the couples are a comedy duo where Kana is always beating the snot out of Chiaki, a senpai and a kouhai where Katori comes across as being too agressive to the point where Matsuura has to beat him up, a plain-looking guy in Yamane asked out on a date by Kurihara and totally panicking over what to do, and then a soccer player in Sugawara becoming a couple over cleaning duty as Takano is keeping things nice and tidy. These oddball couples and quirky romances continue to be amusing to see and with new couples featured in every episode that it's keeping things fresh in an extreme way.

So with that, this show will get one more episode as it's on the borderline for its spot for the suddenly competitive shorts part on my season watchlist.

                    Re: Episode 3

Comedy duo is so adorable, so used to the comedy act that they missed not being on the same wavelength on a critical point for so long.

Oh, and that over-the-top Shimono is so immediately recognizable.

                      Poor Sugawara.

I do like the attempts to kill Senpai by "accident."

                        Re; Episode 3

Well, Sugawara returnes, and strikes out yet again, with Takano, again, not understanding, at all what he's telling her. So, it looks like we're going to be revisiting couples with them rotating in and out.

So, after "binging" on the first 2 episodes over the weekend, I was looking forward to episode 3, and wasn't disappointed. Comparing this to Aho-Girl? Different types of humor and dynamics. While it has its over-the-top moments, this show works on a more subdued level than AG. Both are fun shows, but different types of fun. This show has an easier task than AG, since it has a more varied caste, with more styles of comedy, while AG is just flat-out over-the-top slapstick.

This is a good, fun show.

                        1) Her friendly, playful attitude in that picture, (despite being forced unwillingly into cosplay), reflects my own friendly, playful personality;
                        2) Mikuru-chan is an excellent combo of smoking hot and super sweet cuteness; and
                        3) It makes it easiier for me to find my own posts in threads.

                          Episode 4

So after the first three episodes were all about 12 different couples, this one goes back and continues the story of four of these couples. First, there's Chiaki and Kana attempting to go all-out seeing that Kana is into porn magazines, and of course Chiaki is too shy to go through. Then there's Kaji and the class president and this relationship is smoking. Then Furuya and Minagawa are chatting, both in-person and through their cell phones. Lastly, it's Sugawara and Takano and while Sugawara has her sights set on another girl, things just aren't working out, and instead of getting advice from Takano, he falls for her instead with every intention of breaking up with the other girl. I thought that this show was going to have new couples every episode, but it looks like this is it and each couple will have four segments throughout the show to tell their love stories. While this could have easily been done in the couple-of-the-week format, doing things this way keeps them relevant throughout the series while doing something different.

So with that, the trial period is over, and while I haven't decided for sure what to do about this show, I'm leaning towards adding it onto the final watchlist for the season.

                            Re: Episode 4

I really like how the comedy duo's act changes up so much now with them being mutually aware of their feelings, but it still ends up being such a sweet comedy act nonetheless. Heh, and Kana's mom's way of (not) being considerate as she sees what they're up to in her room adds to it.

I've got a lot of cute delinquents this week. I'm happy to see that pair back for another sweet segment, particularly with how pres had noticed her.

As Ginga said with the previous episode, Poor Sugawara. Poor, poor Sugawara. I don't know if I can be too frustrated with Takano as she's rather moe in her brand of denseness. I'm hoping they finally get to making a little bit of progress, though. The breakthrough, if it happens, is going to be quite heartwarming.

Sugawara probably chose the right path to not continue getting so disappointed, but he'll surely keep following his heart in the future! It feels like that couple is the one that could that the entire season to finally solidify.

Unlike another pair who nearly do the deed in front of one of their parents.
