Not technically a summer series, as the entire 26 half-length episode series streamed in Japan back in winter, but a TV broadcast has begun (2 eps back-to-back each week) this season with a Crunchyroll simulcast, so I'll follow along with that.

    Episode 1-2

Even though it seems like a typical mutually embarassed anime couple at first, I like how we soon find that Kurihara has unusually intense feelings of moe for Momo-kun right away. Though it's good she has her friend there to try to keep her in check, or she was going to go too far in an unhealthy direction. She confessed successfully, and Momo-kun is getting to like her back. He's still kind of unaware of the degree Kurihara is obsessed, though getting some hints of it in the second episode. Do wonder how he's going to react if that side of her becomes more apparent to him. Decently fun bunch of characters so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

So Kurihara is kawaii, but her stalker side is a bit creepy. She should really control herself. Good thing she has a good friend with her who stops her from licking and sniffing Momo's used straws. Those nosebleeds though. Was cute seeing her hnnnnng over cuteness. And there was nothing coincidental about those coincidences lol. It was pretty damn obvious that their "coincidental" meeting the day after they started dating on the way to school wasn't a coincidence. Lol Kurihara forgets her umbrella and then she gets held back at school way longer than expected. And unexpectedly, Momo comes after her.

This was nice, amusing and cute. Kurihara is kawaii and Momo is also okay. Kurihara did come off as pretty creepy at times when trying to take all those pictures and trying to sniff Momo's used straw... but I think I'll continue in hopes that Kurihara doesn't become any more weirdly off putting than she is now.

This was kind of cute. Her stalkerism was funny in its creepiness, and I like her friend. No reason to boot this from the list for now. (Ah, the benefit of being first when I'm not burned out yet.)

Kurihara's extremely creepy stalker actions being presented as ultra cute rubs me the wrong way a bit. Considering that was pretty much the entire point of the episode and, from what they've set up here, seemingly the series, I actually did enjoy it a lot more than I would've expected, but not enough to keep it around.

            Episode 3-4

Heh, Momo-kun's so worried about things going smoothly on his date and looking mature, but we know Kurihara is just going to like him even more when he fumbles.

There's an even sweeter side to Kurihara's moe over Momo-kun, with her trying to celebrate his birthday when his parents are not around to do it. Though Norika then has to question how exactly she got the info. Kurihara makes sure to use Momo-kun's friend for that purpose, without bothering to learn his name. Thank you, Momo-kun's friend! (though they do all get introduced to each other later).

It's interesting to see Kurihara react to all the female attention Momo-kun gets. So different from the usual in anime. She gets her cute moments out of it with no concerns of jealousy at all. Though then we see later that Momo-kun on the other hand does get jealous. Though there's really no need to worry. Your friend there is just a source of information to her. :D

I just love the police sirens sound effect when Momo-kun questions Kurihara why she hanging out in front of the bathroom.

Study session is a nice opportunity for Kurihara. We already knew she was dying to go Momo-kun's house since she was thinking of her desires back during the date, and now she's on cloud nine with a legitimate reason to go. I love that bit with the imagined response to what Kurihara likes about Momo-kun. I thought it was going to be her imagination, but it's actually Norika worried over how far her friend is going to take it. More great reactions from her during the study outing.

Definitely wondering about what role the mysterious new girl we come across will play. Will she be a rival of some sorts? Though going by the next-episode preview,

Spoiler ->it looks like she's going to cause Kurihara concern over her "hidden" side being exposed somehow.

That's what's interesting and fun about the show, how it flips things: the boy's younger, smaller, cuter even, and innocent and nervous. The girl's older and the instigator, and most importantly, the horny one.

I don't mind the self-effacing stalking one bit. It's a fair cop to the panty shots and other constant sexualization we'd get if this were the reverse, and as usual. The sexually aggressive girl, too, is worth having to ruffle some male viewer's feathers.

3-4 was a little more mild than the first eps, but I am curious where they can take this.

                yandere averted.

What I like about the show is that it's absurd and silly at times without being too stupid. Kurihara does some stupid stuff but Norika sets her in line. And Momo-kun…is blissfully unaware.

Lol Kurihara has gotten close to Momo's friends who will then in turn, act as informants for her. That's how she knows a disturbing amount of detail about Momo. Lol when her information was being proved wrong at the cafe and then it turned out that Momo was just trying to act mature and not like a kid with a sweet tooth. Momo's friends sure like picking on him. Lol when Kurihara was giving Momo the piece of cake with a heart on it. And then Kurihara was cheating while her boyfriend was taking a dump. That was hilarious. And it looks like there’s some girl showing up who is getting close to Momo-kun. Gonna be troublesome for Kurihara. And it looks like her stalker side is almost getting revealed. Lets see how Momo takes this in if Kurihara's stalking habit is revealed.

                    Episode 5-6

Haha, Kurihara takes advantage of every little excuse she can get... this time finding the perfect opportunity to indulge in Momo-kun's room. Hah, and being "caught" still ends up turning into a big win for her. Momo-kun gets more daring in his affection when his height complex comes into the equation. Can't resist the rare opportunity to pet... And when it comes time to eat, I like Kurihara uses that for the metaphor of how satisfied she was. :D

Kurihara confessed when she reached 100 in her collection, and now we're already at 200. Nice to see her make it special by being a couples shot. Momo-kun tries to be daring again which derails the shot initially but gets Kurihara fired up to take it again. Love their expressions in the end product. So perfectly fitting of both of them.

And now we have our rival Kakki, but I'm liking her a good bit so far too. She feels like the girl who would be a more typical foil to Momo-kun, being the cool, tall type. I find her rather sweet too. Though it turns out she's a surprisingly formidable rival to Kurihara in being moe over Momo-kun as well. She just doesn't take it to quite the obsessive extremes, though. Interesting to see her encounter at the end. Kurihara again doesn't feel jealous, and is instead rather happy to have a companion in finding Momo-kun adorable. But Kakki gets to see the lengths with which Kurihara takes it and is now worried for Momo-kun. Going to be interesting to see where this goes. Norika has noticed Kakki already. Though she was not around at the end of the episode to keep her friend in check, wonder if she's going to play a role in normalizing things next episode.

                      Re: Episode 5-6

So we have Rio here who has a crush on Momo because he's cute and she wants to protect this cuteness. And she believes that Kurihara isn't good enough for Momo because she doesn't know her potatoes since knowing about potatoes is obviously a criteria for a good girlfriend. Lol Kurihara goes into Momo's room and starts taking pictures. Good thing for her that Momo got the wrong idea when she got in his bed lol. And it was time for her 200th Momo collection picture and she makes it a selfie with Momo. Lol Momo caught her off guard with his hand on her shoulder. And Kurihara obviously shouldn't have revealed her perverted stalker side to Rio. She could end up regretting it if Rio thinks that she isn’t worthy of Momo and tells him that his girlfriend is a perverted stalker. That would be really bad for Kurihara.

                        Episode 7-8

Sakaki makes all the girls swoon, though I do like how she's self-conscious about that too. No surprise how she gets interested in Momo-kun. Heh, and those compliments from him... Sakaki is so adorable in reaction.

I noticed Ikue seems rather tall too, though. Going by the official site, only three centimeters shorter than Sakaki. Yuzuki's not much of a big sister, solidifying her innocent little sister-ness when the "dirty stuff" comes up.

So that's what the meeting is about. Kurihara really wants some swimsuit pictures, but the pool is harder for her usual sneaky ways. Sakaki's pretty firm in turning that down. Aww... Momo-kun really misses Kurihara when she's not with him on the way home this time. I like how this ends up with Momo-kun being jealous of Sakaki. Sakaki wouldn't like to know that. Kurihara picks up on it the next time walking home with Momo-kun is all too happy about it, though. There is one thing she can do that gets Momo-kun a little mad. Doesn't like his feminine side being called out. But Kurihara has some moments where she thinks of him as rather manly. Hopefully she that across to him without denying it at some point.

Heh, Norika is there to try to drill in the common sense approach in seeing Momo-kun in his swimsuit. Though it's hard for Kurihara to take it. "What's wrong with your sense of ethics?" Hahaha. She doesn't work up the courage to ask him to the pool, though it turns out Momo-kun was about to ask her out to a barbecue. Heh, I figured Kurihara was going to ask the location, and it turned out to be one by the river where she can hope for a swimsuit (Sakaki knows immediately what she's up to...) though poor Kurihara looks like she's going to have those dreams crushed. Do wonder what antics we're going to get with her bringing her swimsuit, though.

So Momo jealous that something else was more important than him as Kurihara doesn't walk home with him and Momo starts showing Kurihara deficiency symptoms lol. And Kurihara was busy asking Rio to help her take pictures of Momo in his swimwear. But she doesn't get any help from her. Lol going to a swimming pool or beach is indecent but stalking your own boyfriend and picking up his used straws and taking pictures of him in his swimwear is totally okay. And Kurihara gets invited to a barbecue next to a river. Rio already senses danger lol. And by the looks of things, Kurihara will be flaunting her body next week....

                            Episode 9-10

Hah, poor Norika. When Kurihara goes shopping for a swimsuit to show Momo-kun, of course it takes her hours to decide. Interesting what we get when they run into Rio. Norika seems to know a surprising bit about her, apparently because she's so popular... but then she admits to herself that she's done "research". Though I guess she doesn't really stoop to Kurihara's lows in how she goes about that research. Later on we see she seems to do the normal thing in asking the friend when she's wondering about the chummy cousins. On the other, Rio seems to be quick to getting information on her own, with Norika wondering about her calling her by name even though she hadn't introduced herself.

Speaking of Rio... If she's in a single dad situation, what happened with her mother? And the talk of Yuzuki and Shouta being like siblings seemed to affect her. Does she have one she lost at some point? Some surprisingly serious implications with her, and regardless of just exactly what exactly it is, I'm very curious how that's going to play out with future developments.

Fun moments still, but I like how it gets to be more laid back than usual. Was cute seeing everyone zonked out. Though Kurihara and Momo-kun end up getting some time together out of that. Despite Kuri's disappointment over not being able to frolic in the river, I knew she was going to end up showing that swimsuit off somehow. And of course they're both very embarrassed but happy about it. Heh, love Kurihara's mental reaction to Momo-kun saying he liked red. Of course she'd know about that ahead of time. Though hoping Kurihara will get to express her own desire for Momo-kun at some point, of course without going as overboard as she is in her head.

Lol Kurihara taking forever to get what she wants for the barbecue outing. And after all that, she doesn't get to swim because the water's too cold for that. Poor girl. Although she does get to show Momo her mizugi in the most god damn weird way! Dammit Kurihara! Control yourself better! You don't just pull your dress up out of the blue like that!

Anyway, I don't really see a reason to give Rio some depressing back story or whatever. The flashback scene with her on a swing and someone blowing bubbles in front of her sure felt like something sad happened to Rio in the past. And I don't think we need something like that here especially since the focus should be the MomoKuri pairing here. But we got a lot of cuteness here which was good.
