    Episode 1

Some bits and pieces of info about the game's MC is given here. Noct is together with a brotherhood of five guys, and they are being chased by Niflheim's cyborg soldiers. Here, weapons appear and disappear out of thin air, which could prove to be quite convenient in the game. And then there is that snake monster that nearly killed Noct. Pretty much, this is all about getting everybody excited for the game, and so far it does just that. While the game is what will matter in the end, it never hurts to have some extra stuff with it like this ONA.

      Re: Episode 1

Definitely a good way to build up the Final Fantasy XV hype. It was interesting to step into a 2D version of the world I knew from Episode Duscae.

        Episode 2

Seeing that these are standalone episodes that it figures that each of the episodes are about one of the main characters, while saving the main story and stuff for the game while this OVA is simply promotional material. This one focuses on Prompto as he was a chubby commoner kid that knew Noct from his elementary school days knowing him as just a person and not as a prince. Everything changed for him when he helped an injured dog that happened to belong to the princess Lunafreya. And from there, he made a drastic change in lifestyle to lose weight and become strong. Prompto sure did earn his way into everybody's good graces.

          Episode 3

This episode focuses on Gladiolus as he and Noct weren't exactly on best terms when the two of them first met. Even though Gladdy himself didn't like the prince, Iris did. Everything changed one day when his sister Iris requested to have a meeting with Noct and while she was waiting, she chased a cat outside the castle and got herself lost. Noct followed her and she was found, while he took all of the blame for this mess. But even though Noct was in big time trouble, Gladdy knew that he was just looking out for her, and from that they on they became best buddies. That was really cute seeing Iris doing all that, but in the end everybody gets along just like that, and it would not have been possible if it weren't for Iris. I'm hoping she has a sizable role in the game as a side character seeing that she's the reason why Gladdy is who he is to Noct.

            Episode 4

Now here is an episode that's focused on Ignis, and he acted as a mother-like figure for Noct as he was just having a tough time living on his own. Not to mention, Noct just was butting heads with Ignis all the time, especially when it comes to eating right. But he did try to cook for himself, and seeing Regis in such sad shape really made him realize that he had to change and act more like a prince and less like the carefree and ignorant dude he once was. That was quite a backstory there, and Ignis is a wise person. One more episode left, and then the episode about Lunafreya that's exclusive to the Ultimate Collector's Edition.

Re: Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV Discussion Thread

From what I've seen so far, it's a pretty good way to build up to Final Fantasy XV's release. I'll watch the other episodes later on.

                Episode 5

When the first episode ended, there was a huge battle against a snake woman monster, and now it returns to that battle after spending the previous three episodes on the relationships between Noct and each of his pals. That fight pretty much went like that one time when he was critically injured fighting another snake monster with his father coming in to kill it. But this time, after Noct gets knocked off the cliff and into the drink about to bleed and drown to death, he comes back up and defeats it. Noct sure has grown quite a lot through his friendship and training.

So with that, the OVAs come to a close as this is basically all about background information to get players ready for the upcoming game that should be another amazing installment in the Final Fantasy series. There will be one more episode, but unfortunately that's exclusive to the Ultimate Collectors Edition, which you can't buy anywhere unless you are willing to pay as much as you would to attend a Super Bowl. So with that, it's onto the game, which I'm not planning to play anytime soon.
