In L.C. 922, people faced a sudden crisis. In Tetra Heaven, the land of legend, a hundred years of war had come to a close. The gods who lost the war searched for a new place to live, and found it in Septpia, the human world, which they proceeded to attack. The Logicalists attached to ALCA, a special police agency whose duty it was to protect cities from assaults by foreigners (angels), were compelled to act in defense of cities, whether they wished to or not. Depending on their ability, Logicalists could initiate trance with goddesses from the other world, and stand a fighting chance on the battlefield. A civilian named Yoshichika Tsurugi, who lacked "Logic" and lived happily with his family, was caught up in an attack, and took shelter along with many people. He meets a beautiful goddess named Athena. In her hands, she had the "Logic" that Yoshichika lacked. Now both Yoshichika and Athena head to their destiny.

    Episode 1

    Logistically speaking, he's a hero.

The human world is under attack from these foreigners, the first attacker being a dog and the second one in which Yoshichika becomes a Logicalist is a bull. And seeing that Logic levels peek at around his age and his strong heart that it's no wonder Athena came to form a pact with him. So with that, he joins ALCA. Seeing that this show is designed to market a card game that it begins pretty much in the way I would expect it to be, and that is with action to get an idea of what to expect the card game to be about with only the essentials given out while I would expect the much finer details to be explained later. Given my expectation level for this show, it was a decent enough way to begin as the action is solid all while the story concept seems interesting enough.

      Re: Episode 1

This was an okay episode. Nothing special about it. The MC used to be a logicalist but lost his powers, only to get them back two years later and then resume his fighting. It has a rather strange world and I'm not sure if I follow its Logic.

The artwork looks like a mixture of CG and regular animation, but that is probably because of the colors here, which I'm not too fond of. I'll give it another episode to see if its worth continuing or not. Although I'm not sure I'll go any further than that.

Another series that seems to have some attempts at being a good show, but at its core it's built to sell you a card game in this case, so here's what you get. Some of the visuals I found a bit ugly as well, although not entirely.

          Episode 2

          He's a Logicalist, yet he's not.

Now that the Logicalists have gathered, this episode is all trials and the characters getting to know each other. There's a multiple choice exam where Chloe got so many questions wrong, and then there's training. And then there's Olga who doesn't have a Covenant, and is waiting until he can make a pact with the ultimate one in Belial. So after an action-packed first episode, this one is more lighthearted seeing that Chloe made those huge burgers for dinner. Well, the story has been pretty weak, but at least it's getting somewhere seeing that it doesn't waste any time in making Yoshichika the leader of this unit. I'll give it one more episode before making a decision.

            Episode 3

Doing both things is logistically possible.

This episode focuses on Tamaki as she wants to be a doctor, but because of her high logic that she was drafted into ALCA. This leads to hesitation that allows her target to get away, and Veronica had to get into the action. But Tamaki comes to terms and takes down the Foreigner. Then comes Lucifer about to start something big. Well, that was pretty underwhelming, but the end there is a sign of a lot of trouble coming.

So with that, I guess I'll give it one more episode given the way the episode ends, but in all likelihood it won't make the watchlist.

              Re: Episode 3

This show would be more interesting if the main character weren't the main character. I enjoy the interactions with the other pairs, especially Tamaki/Venus and Chloe/Valkyrie. (Chloe is basically just Sora Tokui playing Blonde Nico and it makes me happy.) And Shamrock-chan. But he's boring even for a protagonist. And are we saying that Tamaki has been this awesome Logicalist for all these years without ever killing a Foreigner before? That doesn't make loads of sense. I can appreciate a show that wants to get into those ethical dilemmas but we haven't been shown enough about the villains to have any reason to care.

                Episode 4

                She's all brawn.

And now, an episode that focuses on Chloe as she's very athletic, but doesn't think with her head. She ignored orders that leads to Yoshichika getting hurt, but she comes through in the end when he is having a tough time with that Foreigner. That was some solid development there at the very least, but I was hoping to see Lucifer wrecking havoc as was teased at the end of the previous episode.

So with that, the trial period is up and while the show has been decent, I already have too many other things to watch, so this show is out.
