    Episode 1

    All coiled up.

And so it begins with Mabuchi encountering Mira during an illegal coil hunt, and her father ends up sacrificing himself to keep his research out of New Tesla's hands. Without nobody to turn to, Mabuchi takes her in and helps him confiscate illegal coils. It will be interesting to see what the deal is with her father seeing that New Tesla's boss ordered his family to be killed. That was a pretty impressive way to start this show, and certainly there's something going on at New Tesla seeing that Mabuchi is working for him, yet they have some sort of shady scheme going on.

      Re: Episode 1

This was above okay level. Mobuchi is cool. Mira is kawaii at times. The artwork in general is good enough. The OP is frickin amazing!

So a fourth dimension has been discovered from which people are getting unlimited energy. The professor who discovered it and made the coils which harnesses that power, has gone into hiding and is being helped by a robot he made named Mira. Mobuchi doesn't like coils and prefers things the way they were in the past. He is a collector who collects illegal coils.

The professor, while Mira was being chased by Mobuchi, fries nearby coils while killing himself. Lol he had a coil for a heart much like Tony Stark (Iron Man). Mira with no place to go, or because it was the professor's wish or something, asks to work as a collector.

Lol when Mira slaps Mobuchi. She literally knocks the guy out because of her insane robotic strength. And Mobuchi takes that whole event, including her crying, as an attempt by another collector trying to steal his prey whereas he should have reflected on what he just did, telling a bad guy to go ahead and kill a loli.

This is a bit interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what this has in store. If anything, at least the OP is amwazing.

The most interesting thing is of course FUNimation's presence on the production committee, but thankfully it's a pretty good show, too. I hope it turns out to be worth their investment. Unsurprisingly, it seems like the kind of thing that would appeal to a Western audience pretty well. I'm sure they put a lot of thought into it.

          Episode 2

          It's a win for Loser.

Loser is introduced and he's a gentleman thief who is out for revenge, but can't seem to be on the winning side. But he did get a win with some assistance from Mabuchi with his illegal coil hunt that leads him to the museum's director. A dimensional collapse happens, and the director has become a work of art from it. Loser made quite a splashy entrance there seeing that he has such a big fanbase despite doing nothing but losing.

This reminds me of something out of Magic Kaito.

I wonder how the structure of this series will be. Maybe an episodic format with pieces of the main plot worked into each installment? The most important thing is that it manages to be compelling no matter what it's doing, of course, and hopefully they have a good ending to work toward.

                Re: Episode 2

I like this show a lot but there is an element that drives me nuts and it's baked right into the premise. One of my least fave things is, "the surly hero guy who won't act nice to the cute girl." Anime loves this set-up. I don't. I inevitably spend too much time gritting my teeth at the shitty attitude of the lead male and wanting to bash his face in. I hope this show gets past that tired trope soon and Numb-nuts starts showing a little appreciation for Mira.

                  Re: Episode 2

Now we know the direction this show will be going in – one way or another, everything is leading towards the illegal coils and the New Tesla guys. And Mira has to follow the trail of illegal coils as per Yurizaki's wish. And that is why she is collecting coils with the cool Mobuchi, who probably has a painful memory associated with coils.

We also got to see how dangerous Dimension W is as the breakdown or whatever didn't end nicely for that museum guy. Loser is collecting numbered coils which would probably be linked to the illegal coils later on and, of course, New Tesla.

Some interesting stuff here, and this, of course, is staying.

                    Episode 3

Robots can be repaired, humans cannot.

After having an action-packed first two episodes, this one takes a breather and focuses on Mira and life back at the gas station Kyoma lives in, and she's quite a hard worker doing all of the household chores. It's a good thing she's a robot seeing that unlike those kids, one of them being the New Tesla COO's granddaughter, she can be repaired. Not a lot goes on in this episode, but it's great to see Mira getting a lot of focus here, and she shows just how cute she is. Next time, something big is going on at the lake, and it's pretty ominous.

I could do with less of the Mira moe, but I guess that's a major component of this show as well. Makes sense with Kamei as the director, I guess. At least there was some solid plot progression as well.

Mira is adorable. I loved the entire sequence of her negotiating for and then moving into her "room." This was a nice, restful episode to play with the characters, and even though nothing of consequence really happened, I didn't feel like it dragged. (And Mira sitting on the couch with her head in her lap was hilarious.)

                          Re: Episode 3

So this episode had quite a lot of cute Mira moments. Even though I'm not a big fan of her voice and her character design as a whole, she came off as very much kawaii here, especially when she got her very own room.

The neighborhood kids are curious about the ancient car which doesn't run on coil power and with no Mobuchi around, curiosity gets the better of these kids as they get into a scrap car and even go into Mira's room. Mira comes to their rescue when the cars come tumbling down and ends up headless. That was pretty weird seeing her head on her lap.

The numbers are coils with access to the deepest part of Dimension W which means they can get a whole lot of energy out of there. These numbered coils are related to Mobuchi's past and are the reason why he doesn't like coils.

This was nice taking a break from all the action. Mira is coming off as quite the cutie. Also, Mobuchi is a bastard. I mean, he had restricted Mira to a small place near the entrance. Judging by the looks of his house, Mira didn't get much room at all. Poor girl. Now all she needs is a bathroom and she'll have everything. Take that Mobuchi!

                            Episode 4

They are on a whole different dimension.

It's off to the lake where there had been ghost sightings and murders, and as it turns out there is a Numbers coil at work and that the same students 21 years ago were at work. The murder victim is actually the pen name of one of those students who have come from Dimension W, and they have Mira all chained up. That was pretty thrilling and it ends on a cliffhanger. Elizabeth made a nice entrance here and it's about time she showed up.

                              Re: Episode 4

So now they're off to a hotel near a man-made lake attached to which is a rather not so nice story. Many lives were lost in an "accident" related to the making of that lake and a numbered coil was involved which is why the actual story was hidden. Now that coil is working up and causing some weird stuff to happen as the coil is pulling out a little too much energy from Dimension W.

What really has me intrigued are the Beasts of Grendel which Mabuchi was a part of once upon a time. And back then a numbered coil was involved in an accident and Mabuchi was witness to that. The relation between Mabuchi and that blonde fellow is of interest because Mabuchi hates that guy. Maybe he feels that Blondie here betrayed him by joining NTE or something. Interested stuff.

The highlight of this episode, however, was the ample Mira fanservice. She spent almost half the episode either naked or in a towel. Nice. Mira is starting to come off as more cute for some reason. Many cute scenes of her. And Mabuchi is a cold hearted bastard towards her. Maybe that's partly because she's coil powered and he hates coils.
