    Episode 9

    His future, his decision.

It's no wonder why Nagisa looks like a girl as his mother was none too pleased when she gave birth to a son instead of a daughter. But here she is trying to get Nagisa out of Class E and choosing his future for him, and Koro-sensei is telling Nagisa to make his intentions perfectly clear. In the end, he does that, and begins to take charge of matters by doing the cooking and cleaning for her. That was great to see that Nagisa taking charge of his own life and he shows just how responsible he has gotten, and seeing Koro-sensei impersonating Karasuma with the fake wig is pretty funny.

Wow, not only do we find out why Nagisa is kind of crazy, it's the same reason he's basically a trap. I didn't think we'd ever get a real plot reason for that. I like Nagisa's darkness, but the way this show depicts insanity is always too comical and far removed from reality. Thinking of BokuMachi's version of an abusive mother makes this seem so silly.

        Re: Episode 9

So Nagisa's mother has a lot of issues and anger management is one of them. Get a grip, lady!

Everyone is deciding their future career and their future high school and they're all coming up with stuff not related to assassination. Lol Nakamura writing "nurse" and "maid" as Nagisa's future career.

Everyone is coming up with normal stuff except for Nagisa who thinks that the best career for him is becoming an assassin since he has the talent to kill anyone. But Koro-sensei tells him to think about it again and so he does. But his crazy mother wants to impose her own ideals on her kid – she wants Nagisa to do what she couldn't do including keeping long hair even though Nagisa has a Y chromosome. So she tries to get him out of 3-E so that his grades get better and he can get into the high school she wants him to go to. She believes that her child is too young to make decisions on his own or even have an opinion so she should make decisions for him as her mother since mom knows best. But before deciding your kid's future you should at least ask what he wants – you can't just do whatever you want with his life. He's gonna be living it, not you.

And Nagisa after fearing his mother's scary look for quite a while and not telling what he thinks, he tells her what he wants to do and manages to do what he wants. He also reconsiders his original plan to become an assassin since it would be too dangerous.

Wow, of all the monsters that Class E has encountered thus far, Nagisa's mom might just be the scariest. I like his comment about how if she doesn't fall in line he might have to "graduate" from her, too. Scary family.

            Episode 10

It's not about winning or losing. It's about making others happy.

It's time for the school festival, and while Asano is buying everything to stage something fancy for Class A, Class E is doing a mountainside cafe cooking everything using ingredients found in mother nature. While the food is getting rave reviews, its location makes it hard to attract customers, until Yuji shows up, who fell for Nagisa believing that he is a girl back during the Island arc, and as it turns out, he's a well-known food blogger. And thus, the cafe was a huge hit, and they only got third place because they ran out of food so quickly. That was great to see that despite their competitive juices, they remember what the festival is all about. And that Food Wars reference is hilarious as Fuwa points out that those over-the-top descriptions are saved for another show.

Poor Fuwa just wants some good orgasm shots.

Not a plot-heavy episode, but it was a lot of fun to bring back nearly every living character who wouldn't instantly start a death match. Some of the people from the island were the best. What could be a better spoon than a gun, after all?

                Re: Episode 10

So Principal Asano's plan backfired lol. He thought that having the E class stuck in the mountains would keep them from excelling as they wouldn't interact with anyone and would give others a feeling that they've been kicked out. Turns out that the mountains are full of stuff the kids can use for whatever they want and come out on top as seen here. They manage to sell their dishes made with stuff freshly picked from the mountains successfully. They were so successful that they came in third despite closing up shop before the end of the day.

The spoiled brat from the hotel infiltration arc of the prequel shows up here to check out Nagisa, and the trap drops the bomb on him telling him that he's a guy. Yuji was referring to Nagisa saying those assassins are comedians when he said that Nagisa is lying. Lol Nakamura telling Nagisa to show him his thing to make him believe lol.

And turns out the spoiled brat has too much time on his hands and he runs a popular food blog and his positive review made the place popular overnight. The brat changed and is now not so much of a brat. He saw how the E kids made use of their surroundings which were supposed to be a weakness and made the best out of it.

And another flashback here. The woman had something in her hand and was most likely referring to whatever turned Koro-sensei into the tentacle monster.

And Nagisa's mom comes back. She sees that her son has learned quite a lot of stuff here and she knows why he wants to stay here so badly and has come to terms with the fact that her son is not like her and can't become like her.

Lol the kids had a dangerous combination going on there – Yada-chan luring in people downstairs and Bitch-sensei trapping people upstairs. And both had ponytails which made them even more dangerous.

And it looks like Asano wants to do something about the kids using their mountainous terrain for their benefit and coming out on top.

I have to admit I cringed a bit when I realized this was going to be a School Festival eppie. Probably my least favourite recurring anime trope. But as SF episodes go, this one was pretty painless. Damn, I wanted to try some of 'em mountain dishes - they looked good! And speaking of looking good - Nagisa in a skirt, rowrrrrrr. DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD???

                    Episode 11

                    Win with honor.

While Asano and Class A did win, his father is none too pleased that they didn't crush them, and thus leading to a clash of philosophies as Asano wants to win the honest and honorable way, while his father is all about using dirty tricks turning his students into zombies hellbent on studying to get to the top. So Asano is asking Class E to kick Class A's butt on the exams (except for his, of course) to send a message to his father that his way of thinking is just wrong. That was a nice way to focus on Asano, who is an enemy, but one that will only settle for winning the right way. With that, the exams are on, and much like with the first season, that means those imaginary battle scenes.

There's (relatively) good guy Asano! I knew it was coming. Still a rival, but a definite enemy to his truly villainous father. It seems that they're reaching something of a climax to that part of the plot, which is a pretty substantial one. I wonder what the focus will be for the rest of the series. I don't know where the adaptation is in relation to the manga, but since that's ending, we should be able to have it all adapted soon enough, whether or not that's feasible to do in this particular season. That was my biggest worry from the beginning of the anime, which made me happy to hear when the second season was announced and now all could be ideal with the manga ending while the anime is still running.

                        Re: Episode 11

So Gakushu has gone against his father. His father's method is all about defeating the weak and showing dominance over them to show that you're strong and Gakushu now believes that this is not how you become strong. True strength comes from battling those either your equal or better than you. So he asks the 3-E kids to kill his father by destroying his teaching methods. And he asks them to take the top spots, except the number one position since that's his. He kept his arrogance there while asking for help lol.

Principal Asano takes over teaching 3-A and turns them into monsters with "kill 3-E" being the only thing in their heads. Asano is such a bastard – he seriously expected junior high students to poison the food of their fellow junior high students just to beat them at a measly school festival. Are you insane? Dammit, man.

And the exams are so difficult that they might even give 3rd year high school students a tough time. But thanks to Koro-sensei's training, the kids pull through somewhat. And Karma takes the lead and starts beating everything up.

Koro-sensei had the kids teach each other their best subjects and that helps in making your own concepts clearer, apart from helping the others, of course.

And Koro-sensei dodged the question of why he became a teacher and threw it right back at Asano.

Not "should be able", the anime will be adapting the manga till the end, it was confirmed some time ago. Of course they'll be skipping some characters because all the material can't be stuffed in 14 or so episodes, so for that we'll be getting a series of shorts.

                          Episode 12

So Koro-sensei wins the battle between the two educators. The 3-A students also accept the fact that Asano's teaching methods are lacking and they're all better off in 3-E as whatever teaching methods are being employed at 3-E are certainly giving good results as the class which was supposed to be full of stupid kids just bagged most of the spots in the top 50 with their stupidest kid coming in at 46.

Asano's method of defeating the weak to show strength has failed here. But that bastard is a sore loser and doesn't want to admit defeat. Lol his glitch when the class asked to be sent to 3-E. He smacked Gakushu and literally sent him flying. Asano is using an underhanded technique of defeating Koro-sensei, while also working to promote his twisted educational techniques. Koro-sensei has to solve three different problems while avoiding the grenade placed in those books. And Koro-sensei sucks at performing tasks like this with time limits and stuff. He'll have to pull off something amazing if he wants to survive. And Asano is using a dismissal letter to threaten Koro-sensei into doing as he's told. If Koro-sensei doesn't, he'll get fired and 3-E will be shifted to another campus who is akin to a prison school.

Next episode will have Asano get utterly defeated and his ideals shattered. Can't wait to see this bastard lose.

                            Think outside the box.

And Class E kicks Class A's butt on the exams going to show that Asano was right all along. But the principal isn't taking defeat so easily as he's thrown the gauntlet at Koro-sensei threatening to fire and kill him while moving Class E out of the building into a place that's equivalent of a prison school if he doesn't win a high-stakes challenge where he has to withstand four anti-sensei grenades. The principal is such a sore loser, and it's no wonder that Asano is getting fed up. It's great to see that Asano and Class E agree on something and it came to fruition, but the principal needs to be put in his place seeing that he's making all of these cruel decisions just to prove a point that's total BS.
