    Episode 1

    Smiles wanted.

It starts off with Uzuki being the newest recruit, who the producer sought for her smile, and she accepts the invitation with open arms. Then he goes after Rin, but she isn't as willing to join as he comes off as being stalkerish. But bringing Uzuki with him does the trick as the become quick friends and now Rin is in the fold. That's a nice way to set the stage up, and Uzuki acted cute in all this. I'll watch a little bit more of this for the time being.

Haha, I was laughing my head off at the unexpectedly scary Producer. Best part of the episode. I figured it was going to take the unfailingly genki Uzuki to finally convince Rin to come around. Pretty nice start so far.

This was nice. Nice opening episode.

So its about 3 girls. Very different from the previous [email protected] This will have to be something of similar quality since it carries the [email protected] name. The previous one was great. I have hopes for this too.

Didn't expect Producer-san to be a scary guy. Lol.

But why Rin? I get that she is kawaii, but seriously why her? Why not someone else? Why is he acting so desperate? They should give a proper reason for choosing her because "her smile" isn't a good enough reason. I mean, she doesn't even want to become an idol. Go choose a girl who wants to.

In a way, it's sorta like the Rin Shibuya introduction episode, almost to the point that you could have sworn she is the main focus for the next 13 episodes. Still was a rather great start, with the Producer immediately having quite an impact despite looking like he can kill someone.

Also yes, gotta love all the cameos of the past idols. Gotta smile at the Takane poster in the police box.

Yeah, he's rather fun. Peoples reactions to him had me laughing.

I liked the focus on just Rin, Uzuki, and the Producer as I thought the episode did a good job introducing their personalities. I know the Cinderella Girls game has a ton of characters so I was worried this episode might through in tons of characters while not letting any of them really stand out. I guess the anime is mostly focusing on the three girls we're introduced to her (though Mio only briefly) with the other characters playing more supporting roles. If the series can maintain the quality of exhibited by this episode, I'll happily stick around for the ride.

Blah, Daisuki only. Well at least I probably won't be watching this one throughout the season anyway. I really do want to enjoy this quality of 2D dance animation, but something about the [email protected] sensibility always leaves me feeling detached. I guess I might just be a little too cynical for it.

I like the fact we're going with a different Producer for this series. By different, I mean they didn't just give him the same personality as the other guy. They could have just as easily done that. Having the producers vary from each other will help a lot. I'm speaking as if we'll get a yearly release of Idolmaster with a new group each time & a new producer.

So, instead of the previous Producer-san who was a dork, we get one with less personality than a piece of wood. And of course, the lead is the super genki Uzuki and her complete opposite, the cool and collected Rin.

                    Re: Episode 1

Well, that was certainly an interesting first episode. I guess it is good that the producer does not have the same personality as the producer in the other Idolmaster series, but you expect it would not be someone who appears to scare people just from own presence.

Oddly enough, the producer looks like a more mature Daitetsu from Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens. That A-1 Pictures animated both Kannagi and Cinderella Girls might have something to do with it...

Hadn't though of that, but he does kind of seem like him. The character designer for the Cinderella Girls anime, Yuusuke Matsuo, also was as an animator in several episodes of Kannagi. Both of the shows have quite a few ex-KyoAni people on staff.

                        Episode 2

Okay, this is growing on me a lot more now. Getting to see the girls hang out and be themselves is a lot more charming than creepy deadpan producer inexplicably picking them out to be put through the corporate idol machine. And along with the final member of the main trio we have 11 more girls to try to remember, so I wonder how much time everyone else will get. Clearly our trio isn't nearly gimmicky enough compared to the rest.

                          Off to the castle.

Uzuki and Rin meet up with Mio and take a walk through the agency, and that place is huge like a castle and then meet up with the rest of the group. They have promo photo shoots and they aren't acting natural, all while a concert is just around the corner. After being introduced to the main trio, there are now 14 girls to keep track of and it's going to be a challenge to keep their names straight. Anyway, this show is making a nice impression as the girls are great, while the show has a nice story developing. I'll watch some more of this before making a decision.

I love how Mio is so spontaneous. She decides to take everyone on an adventure after discovering an unexpected amenity. That place is massive, though, so it's a good way to spend a cute music video segment (with the first song of this group of three). Gets them in trouble for running late, but with producer's personality, the scolding seems rather gentle.

"Aren't there too many idols?" Hah, this show is being self-aware too. Got in some cameos there. They already know and respect some of the idols that have started before them, and that enthusiasm is cute to see. But we soon get introduced to the main group of girls in Cinderella Project. The focus has still been on the "chosen for their smiles" girls this episode, but looking forward to seeing more of the rest of the group too and what challenges they all will face.

                              Re: Episode 2

Ok so compared to the previous [email protected], there aren't many kawaii girls in the group. The jougasaki sisters are kawaii and the older sister is totally sekushi. She should really be in the Cinderella Girls project. It'll take some time to remember all 14 names but I'll somehow manage it.

I feel they should've given the other 11 girls a better introduction. Especially because none of them have made their debut yet. They're all new to this idol business. I first thought that the story will focus on Uzuki, Rin and Mio being the only newcomers and they work their way to the top. But the whole group is full of newcomers. I'm not sure how this will work out. I assume that less focus will be given to the other 11 girls and more focus will be given to the three, but that will end up negative because the others will lack enough development. And why did those three get to participate in a concert? Why not the others? I mean, Rin doesn't have any dancing experience. Was it their smile, again? I hope they don't mess things up. I don't like being pessimistic, but I don't see this being as good as the original [email protected] yet. It has some possible problems already. Not a strong enough start.
