The Devilman OVA was only released with the Manga Video dub. The OVA was released subtitled on VHS by LA Hero way back in the day. That's the release I have, and after hearing the English dub, the subtitled version definitely needs to be on here.

Mad Bull 34 is a largely forgettable show, but one I liked. It's definitely the perfect type of show to pop on Friday after work, and just forget about things. It never got a subbed release but at the same time, though I prefer subbed releases, it made more sense for me to see gritty 1980's NYC cops speaking in English even if it was British VA's (listen for the "he went to hospital"). Mad Bull 34 sits on top of Manga Video releases with Angel Cop as my favorite because it's a "so gritty, violent, yet mediocre but what the hey it's too much fun to care" shows.

Yes, Manga did manage to get Devilman and Amon Saga out, though both are out of print, and that Devilman DVD especially fetches some pretty high prices on the market...

The evergreen classic police procedural known as Mad Bull 34. I can't think of a reason why there's so little love for this show. (Well, other than the rampant misogyny, morally dubious main character, and frankly crappy animation - but hey, I still love it.)

It was released in the UK by Kiseki. Pretty much a straight VHS to DVD dump.

So was The Cockpit IIRC.

I second Blue Sonnet - especially as Hiromi Tsuru is the lead character & I have the LDs. D'oh

Iczelion (ADV) is a title I own, but not on my list. Scramble Wars/Ten Little Gal Force (Animeigo) is another. Tale of Genji (CPM) another still.

I should add in fairness that I certainly agree it would be nice to see it released in a newer format one of these days. But I'd long consigned it to the dustbin of licensed anime history. (And I had also long forgotten about that UK release Skywise mentions.)

No, it did not. If you have a DVD of the original Sol Bianca OVAs (not Sol Bianca: The Legacy), then it was not from ADV, and certainly not released in North America. Not legally.
