    Widgets Magazine
What 10 shows that have only had legit VHS (or LD) release, but were never released on DVD (or BD), would you like licensed for disc most.

    My choice is:
    1. Leda, The Fantastic Adventures of Yohko (Right Stuf)
    2. Laughing Target (CPM)
    3. One Pound Gospel (Viz)
    4. Macross: Do You Remember Love? (Best Film & Kiseki)
    5. Mermaid Forest OVA (CPM)
    6. Sol Bianca OVAs (ADV)
    7. Kabuto OVA (Dark Image)
    8. Firetripper (CPM)
    9. Lily C.A.T. (Streamline)
    10. Midnight Eye Goku (Urban Vision)

    I'll second this:
    > Sol Bianca OVAs (ADV)

    And add:
    - Blue Sonnet OVAs (CPM)

Basically just old Urban Vision stuff that never made it over to DVD for me. I like me some good, old-fashioned 80's ultra-violence.

Highly agree that Macross: Do You Remember Love needs to be license rescued (and given a better dub).

I think Robot Carneval had a tape release.

Sol Bianca OVAs (ADV) had a DVD release but way out of print. I have one copy left at the store.

No, it did not. If you have a DVD of the original Sol Bianca OVAs (not Sol Bianca: The Legacy), then it was not from ADV, and certainly not released in North America. Not legally.

It was released in the UK by Kiseki. Pretty much a straight VHS to DVD dump.

I should add in fairness that I certainly agree it would be nice to see it released in a newer format one of these days. But I'd long consigned it to the dustbin of licensed anime history. (And I had also long forgotten about that UK release Skywise mentions.)

                      So was The Cockpit IIRC.

I second Blue Sonnet - especially as Hiromi Tsuru is the lead character & I have the LDs. D'oh

Iczelion (ADV) is a title I own, but not on my list. Scramble Wars/Ten Little Gal Force (Animeigo) is another. Tale of Genji (CPM) another still.

Well, pretty much any anime on VHS I own is automatically on my list, so that means these:
                        Next Senki Ehrgeiz
                        Shin Hurricane Polymar
                        Eat-Man ['97]
Dangaioh (I will never count Manga's horribly-done DVD release)
Dancougar - Super Bestial Machine God
                        The Abashiri Family
                        Iczelion

And I'll add to that list titles like Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals and The Cockpit, which I don't own on VHS but would easily buy if they were given DVD releases.
Come Visit The Land of Obscusion... Maybe you missed a title the first time around.

Found a couple more in my cupboard I didn't list, both ADV. Capricorn (Johji Manabe) & Gude Crest (like Dirty Pair but with swords).

The evergreen classic police procedural known as Mad Bull 34. I can't think of a reason why there's so little love for this show. (Well, other than the rampant misogyny, morally dubious main character, and frankly crappy animation - but hey, I still love it.)

Also Midnight Eye Goku and One Pound Gospel.
