Today is the NFL Draft, and while I don't do many blogs these days, much less ones not related to anime, this is one thing I have done every year. I used to do 4-5 mocks every year, but with life getting in the way more and more that I am just doing the final one as stuff happens. So with that, here is my final mock draft for this year. Once again, I do a mock for only the first round, and while I am expecting to see lots of trades, I don't predict them. This is yet another very unpredictable draft as the Browns are pretty tight-lipped about their pick that even their head coach doesn't know who they are taking. Anyway, here's my final mock.

1. Cleveland Browns - QB Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma
Word on the street is that the Browns are taking Mayfield. There's no doubt that a QB will be taken with the first pick as at some point the Browns need to end their QB carousel and they need to use their first pick to get the guy they like. Between the prospects, they have apparently settled on Mayfield as he's the most ready to play, and even more so after word came out about Josh Allen's offensive tweets.

2. New York Giants - RB Saquon Barkley, Penn State
The Giants should be looking QB here to replace Eli Manning, but word on the street is that the Giants want Barkley, who is considered to be the best player in the draft, and that will give the Giants a potent offense.

3. New York Jets - QB Sam Darnold, USC
The Jets traded up to get a QB. The only question is which one. Mayfield is their top preference, but he's off the board, so they go with the next best prospect in Darnold.

4. Cleveland Browns - DE Bradley Chubb, NC State
This will become a hot spot for a potential trade depending on how the first three picks go. If Barkley is there, the Browns won't hesitate to take him. But with him off the board, Chubb is the next best player in the draft.

5. Denver Broncos - QB Josh Allen, Wyoming
Whether the pick is made by the Broncos or not, a QB figures to go here as the Broncos are looking to trade the pick with a number of teams wanting a QB. Should the Broncos stay with this pick, Allen would have the luxury of sitting behind Case Keenum because he has great upside, but a lot of learning before he can step in and play.

6. Indianapolis Colts - G Quenton Nelson, Notre Dame
The Colts are another team willing to trade down, but should they stay they are poised to take the BPA. Chubb would be their ideal pick, but they also need to protect Andrew Luck as he's coming off a serious injury and the offensive line is in shambles. Nelson is one of the best guard prospects to come out in a long time and is the safest player in this draft.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - S Derwin James, Florida State
The Bucs need a playmaker in the secondary, and James provides the impact that the team needs. Being in-state also enhances the fit for this team.

8. Chicago Bears - LB Roquan Smith, Georgia
The Bears need a LB with great instincts, and Smith is exactly that guy. He is one of the best playmakers in this year's draft, and to get him at 8 is huge.

9. San Francisco 49ers - CB Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama
This is another hot spot for a trade as John Lynch is always looking to gain whatever edge he could get. That said, the team loves Fitzpatrick, who is a great playmaker, but without a defined position on the defense leading to teams being hesitant about taking him. He can play CB, where the 49ers have a huge need, or a S where both starters are going to be free agents after the season, and he's a great fit for their defense.

10. Oakland Raiders - T Mike McGlinchey, Notre Dame
The Raiders need defense in the worst way. However, the Raiders have a glaring hole at right tackle while Donald Penn is getting up there in age.

11. Miami Dolphins - LB Tremaine Edmunds, Virginia Tech
The Dolphins are looking at a QB, but they will probably have to trade up and the team seems content to move forward with Ryan Tannehill. In the meantime, they need a strongside LB in the worst way, and they are very high on Edmunds.

12. Buffalo Bills - QB Josh Rosen, UCLA
The Bills are probably going to be trading in the draft to get their QB. That said because I don't predict trades, the Bills get the last of the top 4 QBs in Rosen at 12, but they will have to go get him, and the Bills have the draft capital to make it happen.

13. Washington Redskins - DT Vita Vea, Washington
The defensive line was just a mess as teams ran on them at will. Vea is the perfect fit for that defense and provides a huge frame to clog those running lanes. It's either going to be Vea or Da'Ron Payne.

14. Green Bay Packers - CB Denzel Ward, Ohio State
Ward is the best pure CB in this draft, and the Packers would be ecstatic if he fell this far to them.

15. Arizona Cardinals - QB Lamar Jackson, Louisville
The Cardinals need a QB in the worst way, and with Sam Bradford starting, they can afford to let him sit and learn. Jackson is going to need that if he has a chance to make an impact.

16. Baltimore Ravens - WR Calvin Ridley, Alabama
The Ravens are another team looking to trade down, but should they stay they will need a WR after Breshard Perriman turned out to be a disaster. Ridley is the best route runner in this draft.

17. Los Angeles Chargers - DT DaRon Payne, Alabama
The Chargers are pretty thin up front in the middle. Payne will become an immediate impact player.

18. Seattle Seahawks - DE Marcus Davenport, UTSA
The Seahawks are almost certainly not going to be the team making this pick as they don't pick again until the fourth round. That said, the Seahawks are in the process of rebuilding their defensive line, and Davenport is the perfect player for Pete Carroll's defense.

19. Dallas Cowboys - WR Courtland Sutton, SMU
The Cowboys cut Dez Bryant, and while D.J. Moore is the better prospect, the Cowboys are apparently all over Sutton. LB is also a huge need as well.

20. Detroit Lions - DT Taven Bryan, Florida
The Lions need someone to help take the pressure off Ezekiel Ansah. They are in need of impact players on defense, especially with Matt Patricia as the new head coach.

21. Cincinnati Bengals - C Frank Ragnow, Arkansas
While James Daniels is the better player, word is out that the Bengals really like Ragnow and he is the better run blocker to give Joe Mixon holes to run through.

22. Buffalo Bills - C James Daniels, Iowa
After QB, the offensive line is their next biggest need after trading Cordy Glenn and losing Eric Wood and Richie Incognito to retirement. Daniels is a smart football player who will really go a long way towards helping their new QB stay upright.

23. New England Patriots - T Kolton Miller, UCLA
The Patriots have two first round picks, and they have a lot of long-term holes. But first, they need to replace Nate Solder to protect Tom Brady's blind side.

24. Carolina Panthers - WR D.J. Moore, Maryland
The Panthers need receivers as they lack a true No. 1 threat. The Panthers have been impressed with Moore.

25. Tennessee Titans - DE Harold Landry, Boston College
The Titans badly need an edge rusher, and Landry would be the perfect fit for their new 3-4 defense. Landry has been rising up the draft boards, and he would be a great value here.

26. Atlanta Falcons - G Will Hernandez, UTEP
Defensive tackle is their biggest need, but with all the top ones gone they look at another huge need at guard. He is a great run blocker, and he would fit right in.

27. New Orleans Saints - TE Hayden Hurst, South Carolina
The Saints can certainly use another playmaker for Drew Brees seeing that they are contenders after nailing it with last year's draft.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers - LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama
With Ryan Shazier out for next season, the Steelers get someone who can fill the role in a big way, and when Shazier returns in 2019 that sets them up to have a formidable duo.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars - CB Jaire Alexander, Louisville
The Jaguars have two great starting cornerbacks, but after that things drop off. Alexander would be a huge steal here, so the value pick makes a great defense even stronger.

30. Minnesota Vikings - C Billy Price, Ohio State
The Vikings need to protect Cousins, and Price is a guy who has it all, save for his injury that is expected to heal before training camp.

31. New England Patriots - CB Joshua Jackson, Iowa
With Malcolm Butler's departure, the Patriots could use a new starter beside Stephon Gilmore. They need a QB to learn under Tom Brady with retirement imminent, but they should be able to address it with their next pick should they not trade up.

32. Philadelphia Eagles - RB Sony Michel, Georgia
The Eagles have no pressing needs, and without picks in the second or third round, they probably will trade down. That said, Jay Ajayi is a free agent after next season, so getting a young guy who can take over long term would be a smart thing to do.
